i was curious so i just looked up utah's child support laws-seems there's an option wherein the non custodial step-parent's income and assetts can be used in the calculation so even if kody has stuff in just robyn's name it could be counted. i would also assume that everyone's contracts for the show has been renegotiated since all the separations so it would be per person vs. when kody did a group price renegotiation back when the show was in danger of being cancelled.

i would imagine christine has a spectacular assett in her corner by virtue of her relationship with janelle who did all the family's bookkeeping, financing and knows all the details on what is owned and by whom (or sheltered under another's name).

That rule of counting the step parent's income is not unique to Utah, in case anyone wonders. I know it also exists in Massachusetts. However, if at the time the divorce takes place, the parties agree to a child support payment, it's not likely that it will be modified whenever there's a step parent.

yup but since they were never married in the first place that should not be an issue and the only other minor children he can use in the calculation as an obligation are the 2 youngest with robyn. if the new house that's been rumored he and robyn are purchasing is true then it will be difficult for him to claim being impoverished.

The first episode was boring and felt so dated. The timeline situation is such an odd production decision. No other reality TV show has this much lag.

Mary has always been difficult for me to watch but now it seems that they are manufacturing people for her to have very inauthentic conversations. It’s feels fake but then also makes me sad for her that she apparently has no real relationships that could be filmed.

You can see all the art in the Zillow listing for their house. People have added up the value at more than 150K.

No official word on why they have it for sale, but someone who toured the home said the real estate agent claims they are closing on a bigger home in a few weeks.

Wow! That's crazy if Kody and Robyn think they need a bigger house since the one they are selling is huge! It's obvious that they don't plan to build on Coyote Pass since they just keep buying new homes. You'd think they would want to concentrate on paying off or selling the land before any other real estate deals. It seems like Kody is just holding onto the land so he doesn't have to pay off Janelle and Meri. Christine released her interest, but Janelle and Meri would be entitled to a share of any proceeds if they sell it.

I have to say (and obviously it could just be scripting), but every single adult is jist consumed in their own feelings..
all I kept hearing was my feelings, awkward for me, what I want/don't want, how ppl. treat me...OMG it was so insane. All I could keep thinking is where are the real parents...because most parents would be thinking of their kids first in this whole mess, but they are just so about themselves it was really sad. Kody by far is the worst, but really at certain points they all were acting like that. Ugh.

i thought it was but the way kody was talking about it sounded like it just some throw off'ish far flung friend/family member/aquaintance where it did not matter either way if he/robyn attended or not. it was only when the others spoke of the bulk of the adult children attending and i thought about the timing of it that it occured that it was logan's wedding. kody made it seem like some non consequential inviter that somehow made a HUGE reguest that HE kody attend (not-'hey you are in fact the father of the groom so it would be the bare minimum for you to show').

People keep hoping that. But I'm not convinced. They seem to jump around all over the place.

They are all emotionally stunted and very self centered.

It was so strange the way they kept calling the wedding "the event". I was wondering who the heck was friends with so many of the wives and Kody and why no names were mentioned (ie: we wer invited to John's wedding"). I later learned it was HIS CHILD's wedding. So strange that not one person acknowleged it was for a child of theirs.

Then Kody and Sobbyn stating they were seated at the back of the room for the wedding. But photos circulating clearly show then in the second row, with Janelle, the mother, in the first row.

I wish they would do a tell all where we can ask Sobbyn Robyn questions. Like why she didn't bring her children to the wedding, but she is always confused as to why feel left out

Every single one of them are grossing me out. With lines like "I guess we will just walk around and pretend they do not exist" & "I am not going to be friendly, because we are not friends". The last one was about the ridiculous inability to simply acknowledge another human being and say hi.

The wedding, absurd that many of them had to adversely affect a joyous day for their child.

Grace does not live in any of the adults in this family.
