Reception is an issue in your home. I don't have in the car yet. I was on the Sirius site and reception is a major complaint.

I do not have any reception issues at home and we have the antenna inside a window. We didn't even need to put the antenna outside.

I want to be able to listen in my car and home. What would be the best (and cheapest) radio to get?

check out siriusbackstage.com and go to their forums. They have all sorts of info on the receivers.

No, you can listen live in your house. You can also listen to the music stations on the internet live. She was talking about the portable unit where you can store 50 hours of programming on it. You can't walk around away from a car or home dock with it live yet. But at a home dock or car dock you can listen live on all Sirius models.

From what I understand, you "capture" a time block of broadcast to keep on the portable device. You can listen to it again or download another hour, etc. to listen to the next time you go to the gym or whatever. It's kind of like an ipod, I suppose.

If you can't listen to the whole 4 hour broadcast, you can record it like a DVR would and listen to it later.
