Sinus ----Help

I had a mass removed from four sinuses about 5 years ago, and the surgery made me very susceptible to sinus infections (I had never had one before the surgery). My doctor prescribed a SinuNeb, which is a piece of equipment that you put the medicine in, turn it on and inhale the medicine through a nasal tube. I had to do 30 minutes of steroids and antibiotics, twice a day, but it gets the medicine into your system more quickly than oral medication. It's very inconvenient when you are trying to get two kids out the door to school and go to work, but it works. I also used Afrin and drank hot peppermint herbal tea.

If you have pretty good size dental roots, an infection in the maxillary sinus can feel like a terrible tooth ache. It can also feel like a very bad ear ache if it's in the sphenoid sinus (I think that's the one).

We'll I am feeling better -- the pressure is not as intense.

But I have been trying so many different things that you all suggested and I have spent my sleepless nights researching sinuses that I feel like I'm back at my old job researching a new illness( I usto be a scientst-prekids).

I love the hot showers and the hot microwaved washcloths

Who ever suggested the sudacare shower soothers__Bless you,blessyou,bless you ---I did not want to leave the shower .

I've taken my self off the tylenol sinus-- due to rapid heartbeats and insomnia.

Just plain tylenol has been fine for the pain.

I have to more doses of levaquin to take--
and I started the Claritan along with saline sprays.

I brought the Mucinex --but haven't tried it-- haven't looked it up to see if its okay to take with my blood pressure meds.

When I have a sinus infection about the only antibiotic that works for me is Amoxillin. It doesn't help that I have a deviated septum so I get sinus infections a lot in the winter. Amoxillin always works for me.
