Can someone tell me how the single's line at select attractions works? I will not be joining my BF on some of the scarier rides. Is there a seperate entrance if he goes on by himself? Haven't been to Disney in a very long time and I never checked this out. Thanks for any info!:earsgirl: :earsboy:

If there's a singles line, you'll see it posted next to the other lines. No special things are needed, just get in the line.

If you want, you can go through the line with him, then take the opt-out exit at the ride. There's not as many single lines at WDW as at DL, but they're still good when they have 'em!

That's not completely true. Usually you will be given a ticket that looks just like a Fast Pass but says "Single Rider" on it. This ticket is then collected when you enter the pre-show area just like the Fast Passes are collected. At least that was my experience on Mission:Space. Test Track was the first WDW attraction to have a single rider line and in they started out handing out orange cardboard "tickets" that designated you were a single rider. I believe they have also switched to the Fast Pass type ticket.

Yes, that was one of the rides that i will not be joining him on. So what if there's nobody out there handing out these orange tickets? Can he just go up to someone tending to the entrance of the ride and explain that he'll be a single rider? I don't want people to think he's cutting them off, but they would probably have him wait there for other single riders to join him, right?

Actually just the opposite. The single riders are used to fill the empty seats so as not to break up a group. For example, TT cars have 2 rows of 3 seats. A family of 5 comes along, they put them in the car and grab the next person off the single riders line to go in.

There are signs, it is really marked clearly. Many rides don't have the lines but if you listen carefully as you get closer to the front they ask. (I was a single rider on Jungle Cruise and Movie ride) CM's started calling out for singles or couples to fill seats.

Enjoy

There is always a CM standing near the entrance to the Single Rider line. You won't have to hunt anyone down :)

I read somewhere that they are adding a single rider line to Space Mountain. In fact, when I was there in May, I saw a sign on the back row of the platform that said "single rider".

Test track now (@8/04) has a separate singles line and guests in that line are kept separate from other guests at all times upuntil boarding the cars. The orangeticket system probably had too many cheaters hiding the orange tickets after they got well into the ride area.
