Singles Groups?

Just curious as to whether there are any singles groups for DVC members. I usually travel by myself and would love to meet others that do the same.

I don't know of any. I'm single as well. I was able to book the Member cruise and so far will be travelling alone, except of course for my DIS family.

Anyone else know of a singles DVC Members group?

no - but it is easy to meet other Diser's.

just go to the meet board - and see what is happening while you are at WDW.

I was just curious since I go by myself most of the time and it would be great to spend time with other Disneyophiles. The best way to enjoy Disney is with other Disney lovers!

i am not single but i think it would be great to start a DVC singles group..............I would imagine it would be a fun group..............i think you guys should be the charter members and founders................

Maybe all we need to do is start a thread that lets singles post when they will be experiencing the magic so that other singles who are going the same time can get in touch with them. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I would think getting a forum on Dis forums would be ideal............then you all could just go there to visit............and make plans...........Talk to this site administrator.............you may have to collect some funds to pay for the bandwidth but i bet it would be small..............and someone may have to volunteer to moderate it............

Why not just start a thread right here on the Planning Board and see where that takes you. If there is enough interest, perhaps a sub-board could be formed (if there is enough interest, I'd bet the DIS would be happy to provide the space ).

Another thought (as already mentioned by spiceycat) would be to check out the Adults/Solos Board as that would be another natural spot to find like-minded Disney travelers!

This is a group, the idea for which started here on the Disboards, http://www.dismates.com. It is focused at Disney Fan singles, not specically at DVC singles.

You know the Adult and Solos board has all that you are looking for except it isn't DVC only.

I went into dismates to check it out and there has been little if any activity at the site. maybe it's not well enough known for people to use it. Most of the posts for the past three months were from the moderator. I'll keep eyeballing it to see what's going on anyway.

I'll be at OKW the 29th of January for 5 nights for my first DVC trip and it would be great to meet up with other DVC singles who are there at the same time.

I think it's a great idea I would be interested in meeting other single people who love Disney too.
