We are taking our son and daughter to Disney in September. I plan to rent a ciity GT but cannot decide if I should get two single strollers or a double. Son is turning 3 a month before we go and daughter turns 6 while we are there. Neither use a stroller at home, but I know both will use it while we are there. My daughter likes to aggravate my son, so I originally thought it would be easier to get two single strollers (also easier to split up). Now I'm thinking the extra cost and hassle might not be worth it. It would be almost twice the cost and that would be 2 strollers to deal with throughout the day and on busses. On the other hand, a double might be hard to fold and deal with as well, especially with over 80lbs in it. What are your thoughts?

As far as folding, we had no issues. Personally I would rather have just one stroller to worry about folding up rather than two..for example getting onto the monorail and parking lot trams... with our double we rented it was pretty easy getting onto the trams and monorail.

I think you should just rent one single, thats just my opinion. My youngest is 5. We were there twice already this year, and he was in it only half the the time. In July we did not bring a stroller because we were going on a cruise. We only spent 3 days in Disney and he was fine without till about 10pm. Easier to get on the buses. I saw people with double strollers on the bus(husbands standing up holding them because there is sometimes no seats)not my idea of fun. If they don't use them at home, you'll be ok. My husband was so happy when we had no stroller, he rather hold him, then try to get the stroller through all the crowds leaving;)

I definitely think they both need a stroller instead of just having one. I can only imagine the fights they will have if there is only one to use. We went last year with just our daughter and used one and she rode in it so much! I was surprised. Now that she has been with one, she knows what she will be missing. We don't leave for breaks and cross the park a lot so I definitely want one for both.

Thanks for your insight though. I would like to not have the hassle, but I know it will be worth it to not have to deal with the fighting!

I'm glad to hear you didn't have too much trouble folding the double. I hate to spend over $140 on stroller rental. We may go for the double city GT.

We have rented a double and they are easy to fold, however they do take up alot of room on the bus. Even so, I would still go with the double. Your 6 year old won't like walking while her little brother gets to ride, plus when she is walking, you will have extra space to put bags. I recommend Kingdom Strollers.
