This will work right?

For RnR

If my daughter (11) and I go Single Rider (knowing we may not be seated together.)
I can then get a Child Swap and my hubby can go back in for a second time and be seated with her?

For Child Swap - do you use FastPass lane? At 11 is she too old?

I can't remember. And for Single Rider - you go in Standby lane and then it splits for Single Rider at some point? Am I right?

Thanks!

We have a 5-year-old who will probably be pretty envious, so we are hoping to get through quickly.

The child swap would be for your presumably too-short 5 year old. Your 11 year old can ride with each of you if you do child swap, but if you do single rider, I don't think you can do child swap.

You cannot use rider swap if you go through the single rider line.

Honestly, it's not a great plan anyway. Many times, the single rider line at RnR is just as long (or longer) than the standby line.

Thanks! Good to know - I've totally forgotten based on going last time.

This has not been our experience. We have gotten a rider swap at TT and RnR and gone through the single rider. I have never had anyone question what line I got into once we got the pass.

I agree with the single rider line being pretty much no faster on RnR than standby.

We have had varied experiences getting RS when using the single rider line -
Never at TT, sometimes at EE, it seems to depend on how long the single rider line is and always at RnRC although as some have mentioned sometimes it is as long or even longer than the standby line.

We have a PPO at DHS. Hoping to luck into a quick Toy Story and then right over to RnR - it is late Aug. So it probably won't matter anyways.

Adding in a question... I have never used rider swap so I am trying to figure it all out. I have read that you don't have to use the rider swap pass right away so could you theoretically get a rider swap pass for RnR (not ride enter ride immediately) and walk over and get a pass for ToT so that the non-rider could do a show while others ride and not have to sit and wait until at least on ride is finished? I am hoping that made sense. Trying to figure out if I can take 2 years old foster daughter to Frozen sign-a-long while 2 DS ride with dad and then later I can ride with DSs while dad takes 2 year old to Beauty in the Beast???

Yes the RS pass is usually good until the end of the month.

The rider swap pass is good until the end of the month but the first person/party has to get in line immediately so they would not be able to go over to TOT to get another rider swap pass until they actually rode RNR. I have not actually used rider swap at RNR so I can't say personally if it is enforced the same way but at 7DMT and Space Mountain when you show the child and enter the line you are given a lanyard to designate you are getting a swap pass. You are then given the actual paper pass by a cast member once you reach the 2nd fast pass scanner (where fast pass and stand by lines merge). This prevents people from abusing rider swap (getting a pass but never actually waiting in the line the first time).

Thanks so much for explaining in detail... I never thought of abuse like that and the process makes sense considering. HS is the only park that I don't see small attractions by the "bigger" riders so we will probably just divide and conquer when we can and make good use of "waiting around".

Yup - same with us. We've used the single rider line and babyswap several times.

Like PPs have said, the first group has to ride immediately, but you can accomplish your goal with a combination of FP and babyswap.
Allocate 2 fastpass slots this way:
Slot 1: Dh and DS get fastpasses for ToT; you get FP for frozen ~ half an hour after the ToT fastpass time
Slot 2: You get fastpass for RnR; DH and DS get fastpass for Beauty and the Beast at the same time (or a little later)

When slot 1 roles around
At ToT fastpass time, you all go to ToT, approach a CM, and get the babyswap pass. DH and DS ride ToT.
Meanwhile, you leave and baby and you go watch frozen.
Sometime later on the vacation (same day or a different day), you and DS ride ToT.

When slot 2 rolls around
Everyone goes to RnR, picks up the babyswap pass, you ride RnR alone (sorry!) while everyone else goes to see Beauty and the Beast
Later on, DH and DS ride RnR.

Make sense?

Have fun!

What is everyones experience with rope drop rider switch, specifically soarin and Rnrc? I haven't done baby swap before but was thinking about hitting up those ones at park open I didn't know if they said no by the time one got through the line would be long.

thank you for explanation. I have heard about splitting FPs and using rider swap but it worries me little because I have heard a few CMs wouldn't allow it (even if they should but it is confusing so they don't). Have you personally done this? Both DSs don't like anything "girly" and I am already going to make them do several things for baby girl (life Akershus...good thing they adore her!). I may use your advice with ToT and Frozen though because hopefully if we have a confused CM and I don't get to ride using FP/swap I could wait in line when it is shorter. Thanks again

I used split fp for every big ride at MK and not once was I questioned. Because non-riders are not actually in the line - they just have to be close to the line entrance to show baby to the cm- no one knows if they also have fp and they aren't at the tap stiles to check them

I have heard that at rope drop sometimes they won't issue the RS pass.
