Hi there,

Well be staying at the POFQ in Feb 06 over winter vacation and I am wonderinf if any single parents have any tips on things to do at night for entertainment? Normally we go on a cruise where it's not so blatant that one is single and you can kind of "blend" in, but at Disney I'm wondering if there is entertainment where you don't really have to be a "couple" to feel comfy?

I have never felt out of place at WDW as a single parent. There are families of all types that visit WDW.

What do you mean as far as entertainment? Entertainment to do alone without the kids? You could probably go to Pleasure Island. I am personally too tired to do anything late at night and don't really like to go out alone so I just hang out with DS.

Every time my ds and I go to Disney, I think I want to go out one evening alone, but then it never happens. I am usually ready for a drink by the pool while he is taking and evening swim, and a good book to read.

You are right though Disney needs a place for us single parents to mingle!!!! That would be awesome!!!!!

DS & I will be at WDW for 2wks this Aug. Our 2nd wk we're staying at the BCV - our first time to an EpCot resort. I was thinking of maybe going to JellyRolls/etc. However the more I think about it Im most likely going to be having a drink at the pool. We have the parks, Downtown Disney and pools scheduled at night.
