Single Mom w/3 yr old daughter - Am I insane?

My daughter and I leave tomorrow for Disney...just the two of us. She's very precocious and strong willed. I'm starting to get nervous that this trip is going to be a rough ride for me. Anyone have any suggestions for managing it as a single parent of a toddler?

I would make sure she has some sort of identification including your cell phone just in case she wanders. We got our kids plastic bracelets (like the "live strong" ones) and will be putting them on their ankles. I think an afternoon break at the hotel might be helpful as well. A rest for both of you. I wish I had more advice for you, but I hope you have a wonderful trip!

I have some 'safety tats' that I'm going to put on her forearm and calf...they say "if lost please call ####" or something like that. Boy oh boy...this is going to be interesting!

I think you are going to have a ball!! I went in a group with my mother, sister, two nephews, and my 3 yo DS. We used a buddy system (DS was my buddy of course) and often, the two of us went off by ourselves. i enjoyed the one on one time! I am sure it would be more challenging with out my family there too, but I think you will do great! I put name stickers in his clothes, just in case, but though he's a fiesty one I never lost him!

You'll have a great time. I went last August w/ my DD - almost 2. It was the best trip ever. Just go at her pace, and make sure that NEITHER one of you gets tired. I would do it again in a heartbeat - so much fun!!

Let us know how it goes as I am planning a trip as a single Dad with my 6 yr old daughter. Just have fun and don't forget a stroller!!

I did 4 days with DD who was almost 3 last year. It was great. DD and I are very compatible travellers, quite honestly. We both very happily drive to the point of exhaustion, and then sleep and get ready for the next day. She was awesome, and we had the best time (better than when Daddy was along, honestly!).

I can't wait to do it again!
