Single digits to go, will ohana happen?

We have been planning this next trip for awhile and I thought I had thought of everything, or at least what we wanted out of this trip.

For some reason, I thought I booked Ohanas before Christmas and I am not sure what happened.

For the past month I have tried every day in a range of 5 days to get an evening Ohana ADR and still have nothing.

Any suggestions? Will I have better luck once I check in? Has anyone ever tried Ohana without an ADR?

I have not tried without an ADR but last time I was there they had an issue with the computers. While we were waiting for them to come back up they came out a couple of times and said "If you don't have reservations or aren't staying in this resort we don't have any tables for tonight". This was June 09 for what it's worth. I'm not sure if it was the computers had backed them up that much or if they were just *that* busy. I do know DW told me afterward she wanted to stay at the Poly from now on so as to not miss her Ohanas fix.

Good luck! I've been trying to move our Ohana reservation to a different day and time for weeks now with no luck and that is for the middle of May!

I just called today trying to switch my August ressie. No luck ... all booked up. Ohana is a tough one to get.

If you are a party of 3 or 4, make a reservation for 5. There are a lot of tables that seat 5-6. This is how we got in, taken from a tip on these boards. Also, keep calling even when you get to WDW. Last year, I was able to book 2 days out after we arrived. Try every day while at WDW, I was told they do hold a few tables until the last minute.

I tried to book Ohanas last Wed for tonight and nothing. Tried again on Thurs and a spot opened up for our group of 6 right at the time we wanted. So keep trying!!!

We are headed over there in about an hour and half.... we've never done Ohanas before but trying it tonight for our anniversary. Very excited!
