We have arrived we are sitting in our hotel room eating pizza exhausted but so happy to be here It took an hour and a half to get through immigration and another half hour for customs we would not have made our 4:30 flight to LA at all lucky we weren't using it and they were only giving people with international lights the passes to get through quicker.

Thanks the immigration people said that's how long it's been taking last time they looked at our passports and took us to a separate line this time it was in with the foreign Nationals crowd

Today we had an early brekky had a nap then went to the Grapevine Mills mall, DS11 got a pair of Oakleys I am sure when I went in that shop I intended on buying myself some We had Taco bell for lunch, and we got our first Disney fix at the outlet then we had Applebees for tea went to Target to get some drinks back at the hotel and we will have a swim and early night so weird to have a quietish day rather than a rush to start of the holiday. Grapevine Mills Mall is only 2 miles from the airport and had a great selection of shops

So glad you have arrived safe! I just love your itinerary and I just cannot wait for you to write all about it so we can all live vicariously through you!

We got quite a few cheap things.ds15 wanted a Mickey shirt online it was $20 we didn't get it got it okay or $4.99 we also got a couple of DL shirts for between $2.99 and $9.99 the kids are rapt

Sounds like the perfect way to start your holiday.

it was but it feels so weird to not be rushing to our next destination I might never be able to start a holiday any other way again

I've been awake since 4am and I have to drive to Houston today

Yesterday we had lunch at the Rainforrest cafe had the platter Karen suggested it was yummy 6 of us 1 kids meal 1 rainforest burger, 2 platters, 1 ceaser salad, 1 volcano, 6 soft drinks $100 I thought that was a really good price
was great to spend the day with our friends fron NSW after lunch more shopping then picked up ds16 who's plane ended up leaving LA 2 hours late he was exhausted by the time he arrived. We are going down for breakfast and today I am going to buy a Disney gift card going to guesstimate what we will need to take advantage of that great $ I think I'll get a Walmart one as well as its where we seem to do most of our groceries
