Since the crowd predictor isn't reliable

For those that have gone over the summer is Nov 1-4 comparable to the opening of Carsland? We went 3xs this summer right before Carsland opened, a week after it had opened and then a month later. With those 3 times it was bearable. Much less crowded than Thanksgiving week or Christmas. Carsland of course was crowded but everywhere else was pleasant. We even enjoyed Carsland and just walked around without riding rides. On the last trip in the summer my DS was able to ride RSR 4 times in a day (A TON of planning, EE, FP, parent swap, and a little pixie dust made it possible!!)

We just decided to make a trip out of my son's 4-day furlough November 1-4 (his school was so smart they decided to take off the day after students get bags of sugar and leave them to the parents! :rotfl: ). Since I've been reading the crowd predictor isn't reliable and since it sounds like we can't necessarily predict how the rest of the year will pan out can anyone compare the crowds? If the summer crowd was "crowded" then I might not worry. But if someone these past few weeks were much worse then the summer I will be freaking out as I am taking my 2 boys (6 and 20 months) with just my sister and myself.

If anyone could compare the summer to what they have been seeing these past few weeks. I know with Halloween it's a bit different but any insight would help! Thanks!!

I would not think of comparing the first week of November to summer at all. In my view, summer would be much more crowded. You may get a small surge of people wanting to see the Halloween decor before it goes away, but I would not compare it to summer at all, especially a summer with Cars Land opening. Of course, my crystal ball is as good as anyone else's, but those are my thoughts.

just to remind you that Christmas Parade is being taped in the park on Nov 3. Not sure how it is going to impact on the crowd. We will be there during the same time too. All we can hope for is some pixie dust in our trip. pixiedust:pixiedust:

Thank you Disney Dreams and yaya74. I was asking because I was reading other threads about hotels being fully booked (another post had some hotels completely booked 10/31 and 11/1) and people questioning why days that previously would be considered "empty" people are shocked that it's "crowded". I totally understand Carsland and the revamped CA might have changed the dynamics of park crowded. But I cannot imagine the park being as crowded as Thanksgiving week or Christmas week.

And thank you Yaya! I didn't know they were taping the parade! We were there the day they were doing the premier of latest Pirate movie. It was neat! :goodvibes

And send some Pixie dust our way! we will do the same for you guys!! pixiedust:pixiedust:
