VW... How are you liking Nightlife so far?

I just got it on Saturday and installed it last night. I was out all weekend so I haven't had a chance to play it (that much). I just ran it a little to make sure all was working. I did check out the new turn-on/off's option. I wish there were more options. Two of my adult sims got some really weird automatic options that I’m going to change by drinking that stuff that's in the inventory. Overall it looks like it will be interesting and fun. One thing that I was really excited over was the fact that I can now add
bookshelves to a Library/Knowledge hall community lot that I built. I built before I knew that I couldn't add bookshelves, etc. to a community lot. Nightlife definitely was worth to buy just for that, imo!

I told myself that I wasn’t going to download any custom content when I bought this game but I’ve been checking out some sites and…WOW! I saw a couple of outfits for my sims that I have to download, LOL.

My husband has been getting a little worried about me, with how much I've been playing this game. It is so....addicting (there I said it).
However, I've heard that the next expansion will be, "Open For Business" where your sims can own their own businesses...let's just say we will be simming together...

By the way, is it just me or does the sims language sound a little more cohesive and understandable with Nightlife...or am I really playing too much...

For a single parent Sim, the Nanny is a MUST, if you don't use the money cheat. Just call services, select Nanny and ask for the Track Schedule and she'll show up for your Sim's work times.

If you get NL, use the Matchmaker to find the perfect mate for that Family Sim.

And the Pleasure Aspiration is all about fun. Pleasure Sims love to bowl, blow bubbles, work the DJ booth, go out on a date, play a computer game, etc. They just love to have fun. They're fairly easy to please.

I'm having a ball with the Grilled Cheese Aspiration. One of my Legacy Sims has that aspiration and I just had her complete her lifetime want of eating 200 sandwiches, which she accomplished in her Junior Year at University. As soon as she reached it, I had her work out for a whole day to get in shape, since she got so tubby. I want the All Aspiration Platinum Graves Bonus.

I was also wary of custom content, but I have found some great clothes, hair and objects on many sites. modthesims2.com is great. I also like http://www.parsimonious.org/.

Man, I must have gotten a complete dud! One time I paid the Matchmaker $5,000 Simoleons and had the worst date of my sims life! (Maybe it was me!?!)

Haha I've never seen the Grilled Cheese aspiration! Now that's funny! I've achieved the Platinum level once by becoming a professional party goer and the sim that I'm playing now has a want of reaching their 50th wedding anniversary. Guess I'll be drinking alot of the Elixer of Life!

The Grilled Cheese Aspiration is a backfire when a Sim uses the ReNuYu Machine to change aspiration when they're not in gold mode or higher.

Everything is Grilled Cheese sandwiches. 'Talk to Sim about Grilled Cheese Sandwiches', 'Serve Grilled Cheese Sandwiches', 'Influence a Sim to Make Grilled Cheese Sandwiches', 'Make A Grilled Cheese Sandwich For a Sim', 'Eat A Grilled Cheese Sandwich'

I was worried about doing it, but they can make them at any time of day. Also, if they click on another Sim to talk, the option to talk about Grilled Cheese Sandwiches is right there with Brag, Chat, and Share Interests.

I'm playing now has a want of reaching their 50th wedding anniversary. Guess I'll be drinking alot of the Elixer of Life!

That's easy to fulfill. Have two Adult Sims get married. When they both become Elders have the Sim with the Golden Anniversary Want (usually a Family Sim) pick up the phone and throw a Party. Anniversary Party will be one of the options. You can invite 1 guest or several. The party score could be lousy. It doesn't really matter. Just as long as the party happens.

I am like that too. I have a whole neighborhood with empty houses. I love to build and decorate. I am also addicted to downloading unfurnished houses and remodeling them.

I'll just build a person, take FOREVER building the house (with the money cheat of course), and then get tired. heheeh
