Simply ENTHRALLED with Kidani Village1

I just got back from a split stay between Kidani and BLT and I must say I loved these 2 very different resorts. Kidani is beautiful, aside from the lack of counter service, I have only one complaint about Kidani and that it the loooooooooooooooong hallways. It seemed like we were always had a long trek, no matter where we were headed, this was a pain. Especially if we were going to the pool from our room which was near the Zazu elevator.

I found that the transportation was great at Kidani. Even better than BLT, unless you're going to MK.

On another note, it sounds weird to put okapis on a savanah, since they live in very dense forests.:confused3

This is true. We also had a split Kidani/BLT stay, and I found that the EPCOT monorail service from the Contemporary/TTC, while nice in theory, was much slower than a bus in practice (particularly for the return trip, having to cycle the wrong way around seven seas lagoon to return to the resort).

Just returned from three nights at Jambo but visited Kidani every day. We have girls 5 and 9 and I have to say they have the BEST pool on Disney property for kids this age and for parents trying to keep track of them etc.

Kidani was just beautiful and we plan to stay there again soon!:)

Hi there! I am thinking of renting points from a DVC member amdn was wondering if you buy the points and then purchase park tickets seperate. If so are you still able to get free dining during available times. Thanks for the help.

Free dining is a special promotion to get people to book Disney hotel rooms at full rack rate through Disney's central reservations. When renting from a DVC member, your room would be booked with DVC using DVC points so you wouldn't be eligible for free dining.

If you rent a reservation from a DVC member you would need to buy your own park tickets. You can book the dining plan but would have to pay for it.

Based on the reviews, considering Kidani instead of OKW in January. Not worried about counter service because we plan on cooking most, if not all, of our meals. It will be a difficult adjustment going anywhere when I am used to the villa size at OKW. What do I do? Still contemplating.

Wow, great to hear! Looking forward to seeing it myself for the first time in April!
