How much cash should I bring for tipping?
If I purchase calling cards should I get International? And where would I find them?

You can charge most of your tips to your room account. The only exception might be for room service, if you're not ordering drinks. In this case, it depends on how often you plan to order room service and how log your cruise is. I would think $50 would more than cover it.

Tips at bars, the spa, and for your servers and room steward can all be charged to your account.

You should get cards which allow international calls. In the past, I've gotten them at Costco.

I bought calling cards from SAMS and gave them to the serviers the last night. When we went to breakfast the next day they had already used them!
