Simple Questions for Very Short Stay

Hi! I've been browsing the forum for about an hour now, and love all of the info. So thank you! I have some super simple questions that are probably answered all over the place, but haven't found them as I search this message section and others. So here I go:

1) Are there any discounts ever for a one night, one day stay? We would like to to Disney Parks for one day and stay at a Disney resort for one night to get the extra hours. So far I don't see any discounts anywhere, tickets or otherwise, for such short stay. Thanks! (Oh we are going July 10-12, 2015).

We are also going to do two days at Universal Studios with a two night stay. Is this also too short for any discounts?

2) What's the best place to call or web site to get the best price? Book online through waltdisneyworld.com? (and universalorlando.com? ) From what I can tell that is the same rates as AAA. Or is there another agent or site that does better?

Thank you all so much. We are not newbies to the parks, but just trying to get the best price, of course! And I'm sorry that couldn't wade through and find these answers on my own!

1. Room rates at the Disney resorts vary by the night so if there is a special rate for your night and there is availability at the resort/room category you want you would qualify. I don't think room rate specials for the summer have been announced yet. You can check the Disney website and Mousesavers:

One day tickets are rarely discounted by Disney or authorized third party ticket re-sellers so I wouldn't know where to suggest.

2. I've never booked with them, but many have gotten a good room rate through orbitz.
