Simple Question Concerning Tickets

I realize these are simple questions that I should know the answer to but....
We've ordered our tickets online (maybe late October/early November).
Are we supposed to get them in the mail? Do we pick up the tickets somewhere when we get there?
Since the tickets are nontransferrable, how do they verify you are the only ones to use your assigned ticket at each entry into the parks?

If you bought them as part of a package which includes your room at a Disney Resort the tickets will be encoded on the card which is also your room key.

Each room key has the person's name printed on it.

If you do not have a package, you would get your tickets using "will call" at any park ticket booth or Guest Relations office. Those tickets are a paper/plastic combination and you can write each person's name on the tickets.

When you use your tickets at any Disney park you have to put a finger on a scanner. The first time you use the ticket it will link that scan to the ticket. Each subsequent time you use the ticket it will check to see if the current scan matches the recorded one.
