Simple Magical Express Questions

I almost feel dumb asking this, but I just wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing.

I got my ME tags in the mail last night (YAYYY!)

Anyways, I'm not taking ME upon arrival. I'll be with a friend who's renting a car. I am however, taking it leaving Disney. I'm flying Southwest, which doesn't participate in the luggage and check in program at the Disney Resorts. So, obviously, I do nothing with ME upon arriving. However, when I leave, I simply present the voucher I got in the mail to the ME desk at the resort, get on the bus, and they drop me at my airline gate, and give me my luggage? I don't put any tags on my luggage, do I?

Correct, throw away your yellow DME tags, you have no use for them. But if I were you I would, while on-site, confirm my return DME reservation, just in case the computer assumes you're a no-show since you didn't ride TO the resort, know what I mean?

Yup - That makes perfect sense. I did tell them I was only using ME for departure, and it's noted on my online reservation, but that's a good point - I should just confirm while I'm there.

You need to get return vouchers (printed if necessary and) validated and a bus assignment for the trip back to the airport. Do this at the resort least a day before checkout if not sooner.
