I have an unlocked iPhone 5S. When I get to Paris, I would like to buy a pay as you go SIM Card that would give me data and possible phone access. If I could call the USA for a reasonable price, that would be a plus, but the data package is more important. Does anyone have suggestions on companies? hints or tips?

I either use lebara or lyca mobile. Really cheap to make calls and data not too bad either. You can get a nano sim online for €15 and it has €10 credit on it. I have never needed to top it up while in France at all. I have an 5s too and data is on all the time.

I leave on May 16th and not sure it will arrive before I head out. Can I pick the SIM cards up some place when I arrive?

We have not seen any micro or nano sims, just standard ones. We bought a samsung phone for €30 with €10 of credit on lebara. It has a data allowance which we leave on and calls home (uk) are approx 15c connection charge and 1c per minute landline, 25c mobile. U.S is 5c a minute to call, 15c to connect. 15c for a text.
Maybe take an old internet compatible phone with you to save on costs, though we also have a payg 02 sim because its a micro sim and fits my S3.
If you head up to Barbes Rochechouart in Paris you may actually get a nano though :)
