Hope this is in the right place.

We have a trip scheduled for Dec. We have purchased the silver plan which entitles each person to 2 wishes per day. These wishes could be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Is there a limit for what is spent for that meal? For example, if my 8 year old son uses a wish for breakfast and gets Poptarts and chocolate milk, is this the same as my omelet, hashbrowns, bacon, danish and coffee. If so, how is it determined.

Thanks for your help!

We used the old version of this plan, the Discovery Magic, on our December trip. While there are not price limits on what you can order, there are limits as to how much of what you can order. For example, a person using a wish for dinner at a sit-down restaurant would be entitled to a non-alcoholic beverage, appetizer, entree, dessert, and coffee. Tax and 15% gratuity are also included. Lunch works the same way, but I'm not sure about breakfast. The only time we used wishes for breakfast was for a buffet (not the best use of a wish, but it was our last day and we had 2 leftover wishes :) ), and the buffet and juice were included. Here is a link to the Disney website that has more details: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wa...ns/vacationpackageindex?id=PK2003SilverPlanVP

I would suggest you use the wishes for your child on merchandise or recreation. The children's wishes cost $55 per child and unless your child eats that much worth of meals you won't get your monies worth. You can pay cash for your child's meals

Breakfast is 1 juice, 1 breakfast entree, 1 hot beverage or 1 full breakfast buffet

Lunch/Dinner is 1 appetizer or salad, 1 entree, 1 dessert, 1 soda, juice, milk, regular coffee or tea, or 1 full buffet.

All meals includes tax and gratuity.
Kids ages 3-9 must order from the childrens' menu where available. I have heard thought that some restaurants will let you order from the adult menu for kids but don't count on it.

yep... it's all the same. No matter what you choose, it counts as a wish. Sometimes I used a wish for a kid's meal (I'm 26). I know that sounds crazy but it was our last day, we had them left over and I wasn't really interested in the merchandise. The plan, for us, is more for convenience. This is the best list of included items I have found to date:

Hope this helps!!

I just got back from a week at WDW and I too had the silver plan. I attempted to cancel it, but I would have had to change my room reservations and I wasn't guaranteed I'd get the hotel I wanted. I would recommend against it, since it's expensive and you have to work hard to break even. Under the silver plan, you get one appetizer, one entree, one non-alcoholic beverage and one desert. It also includes your gratuities. At the better restaurants, you have to use two wishes.
We ate crab cakes, lobster and filet and key lime pie (my DW had the creme brulle) for two nights at Narcoosees ($185). We ate filets at the Concourse Steakhouse ($115). At the Rainforest Cafe (AK), we had shrimp coctails, lobsters (we could have added a steak to the meal under the plan), and bananas foster My DD6 was allowed to get a crab leg adult dinner ($212). Shrimp coctail and shrimp dinner and key lime pie at the Coral Seas ($191), the Fantasmic Dinner Package at the Brown Derby ($106), and King Crab claws and Lobsters at Fulton's Crab House ($134)(which by the way had the best lobster and creme brulle). We were lobster, steak and desserted out by the end of our week. We never would have eaten so much and spent so much money on food had we not been forced to keep the silver plan.

One of the best places to use your wishes is the Hoop De Doo and the Luau. Both are 49.01 and you only use one wish.
Doing the buffets and anything less than $40 or 50 per person is really wasting your money.

We also used the silver plan last week - 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. I'll probably post a more detailed analysis later, but I was glad we did it. I felt like we got our money's worth and it made us more relaxed about enjoying our dinners and not worrying about what we were ordering. We did definitely eat more than we would have without it.

I think the 2 wish restaurants are actually the worst deal - we spent much less at Jiko's (2 wishes) than at Hollywood Brown Derby, Wolfgang Puck Cafe and Portobello Yacht Company (all 1 wish). But we loved our dinner there anyway.

Cirque de Soleil was a good deal as was the Keys To The Kingdom tour my son and I took and the parasailing he did. We might not have done those without the silver plan but they really added to the vacation.

One caution - when you use your room card to charge be sure to tell them if you don't want to use wishes. My son ordered a cheeseburger at the Sand Bar at the Contemporary and handed them his room card to charge it. He gave me the receipt and I noticed they had charged us $0 - i.e had used a $34 wish for an $8 burger, fries and coke. It took a while to straighten it out.
