I am reposting this since I think I did not do it right the first time.
Any advice would be welcomed.

I have been reading and cannot find an answer to this particular questions.

If we are booking 2 rooms can I add the silver plan to just one room.

We need to have connecting rooms since it will be myself, dh, dd14, ds11, ds 8.

We maybe be staying 6 nights Aug/Sep 2005 and I know we will not be able to use 60 wishes. But would like to be able to use some wishes everyday we are there. So making seperate reservations for 1st and/or last days probably will not work.

Has anybody added silver paln on to one room only and still been able to get connecting rooms?

We stayed at AKL Aug 2004 on the silver plan and really enjoyed being able to eat at some nice restaurants and my dh and ds loved the fishing excursion, but we had a hard time using the 30 wishes we had on that trip.

Thanks for any help!

My first post!
Hope I did it right.

you would have to make 2 reservations. One for the room without the silver plan and one with. Then ask for the rooms to be connecting but it won't be guarantee.

With the Silver plan you get 2 wishes per night per person. With 4 people, that is 8 wishes per night. 6 nights would be 48 wishes.

Sorry - just reread the post, saw that you had 5 people - that would be 60 Wishes.

Yes, that is what I am afraid of. We really need the rooms to be connecting as the kids are too young to stay alone.

But thank you for your reply.

We are a family of 5

Maybe I did not post that clearly.

Maybe you should consider not getting the Silver plan at all. Take the time and do the math. Use the menus on Deb Will's site and others and see what you will spend on food, and also price the recreation.

Mary on MouseSavers has a nice analysis to help you get the best value for your Silver plan Wishes.

While the Silver plan is convenient, it may not be the best value for your situation. It may be best to save your money, and then leave it on account when you get to the hotel. Then you can still charge the meals and recreation to your room and not need to worry about paying for it.

Thank you for your reply.

I know I have been spending way too much time on this.

I have looked at all the menus and figured a lot of costs.

I would like to do the Luau this time it would be about $197 for all 5 of us.

And as I mentioned before the fishing excursion is a must do for my DS11 that is $160.

My DH and I also would like to have a nice dinner at one of the
2 wish restaurants maybe about $100-$150.

We would alslo like to do a Character Breakfast and/or Dinner.

Maybe Fantasmic Dinner Package.

And a nice lunch/dinner on our last day, since we will be taking a late flight that day.

So for those things I think the Silver Plan makes sense for us
but just not for that many wishes (60!) maybe could use 30.

Thanks again and any I would like to hear any advise on our situation.

30 Wishes would still cost $34 per wish x 30 = $1020...

Have you tried calling Disney directly?

Well, it is less if I pay for wishes for 1 child ($35/day) and
2 adults, that brings it to about $855 for 30 wishes. Which would make it cost effective. But I do not think I can get 30 wishes, for 6 days it would have to be 24 or 36. Either would probably work.

Like I said I know I am spending way too much time and effort on this.

I have not called Disney direct. I guess I assumed they would have the same response about everyone on the reservation must be on the same plan. And I have seen so much good information here, I knew I could get some good suggestions.

Probably would be a good idea though. Never hurts to ask.

Or maybe I should try and contact a travel agent for some help.

Thanks for all the input.
