Silver plan viewing of parades and fireworks

We just got the silver plan and I've been doing a great deal of research. But there are a couple of questions that I haven't found an aswer to and don't want to wait until check in or we get to the park. Does anyone know where the priority viewing areas are in MK and Epcot for the fireworks and illuminations? And how soon before the events do you have to be there?

I don't remember where the viewing in Mk is, but I believe illuminations is the boat dock in Morocco. I believe you have to call ahead of time to put your name on the list. I would assume they would ask you to arrive about 15 min early.

I would love to know the answer to this question also. DH and I just booked the Silver Plan also, and I can't find the answers to these questions either. I was going to call this weekend and book priority viewing, the CM on the phone i spoke to when I booked the package told me to call the tours line and book in advance.

I've been able to find out more. You can't call until 45 days out for Epcot and AK and 10 days out for MK. The viewing areas sounded good. Call 407-wdw-tour. Until this morning I'd only called w-disney, wdw-dine, and wdw-play. Call them all and the person answering the phone will be able to help you plan some part of your trip. I suggest creating a list of questions before you even dial. I just got my information in the mail that they promise to send when you plan your vacation. It was pretty much worthless.

Oh, and to get the value out of the plan you must figure out your dining now and start making reservations (priority seating requests). I've already had problems getting some of the seatings I wanted and I called 89 days out.

2 years ago the Priority Viewing for the MK fireworks was the Rose Garden to the right of the of the castle, in front of the bridge to Tommorow Land. It was a decent spot to watch the fireworks as long as you stayed near the top of the path. If you went down the path too far, the fireworks did not seem to be over the castle. I haven't used this option since they began Wishes so I don't know if it has changed.

I will be using the silver plan next week for my solo trip to the World. The viewing area for Illuminations is the boat dock at Morocco and for Wishes, it is the Rose Garden. I'll let you know what I think when I return!

We had the Silver Plan with our honeymoon this past January and used the preferred viewing locations. In Epcot it was the boat landing in Morocco. I personally thought it wasn't such a great view. I much preferred viewing it from near the UK. For MK, the viewing area was the patio outside of the Plaza Restaurant. A pretty good location, but show up early so you don't get stuck by a tree. Both areas are roped off, and require you to turn in a pass that comes with all the other stuff in your yellow envelope. They collect the pass and cross your name off their list. You do have to sign up for a specific day ahead of time, although I'm not sure how far out because our dreamsunlimted consultant took care of that. Also, as an FYI, there is seating in the area for MK, but not in Epcot. You have to stand there.

Thanks for the FYI. That is important to know. Does anyone know if we all have to go at the same time? Or could one of us stake a claim on a spot while the other three hit one more attraction?

I wasn't that impresses with either vip viewing location. I would think as long as other 3 have thewir passes with them they could show up later.

I'm sure they aren't the best viewing spots. I would not enjoy being hated by those people that spent hours claiming and staking out the "best" spots. I just don't want to stand around for hours just to keep from looking at the back of heads. It doesn't matter much to me (6'2") but my wife (5') and daughters (5'2" & 4'10") might care. If I can show up 15 minutes prior and my familly be able to see these events, we'll be happy. Please let me know if that's the case.
