With the Silver plan, when you go to a restaurant, are there some entrees that you cannot get? Can you get the most expensive entree on the menu? Also, if my wife and I each use a wish to get an appetizer for each of us or is it one per table. Thanks.

We used the Silver Plan last year. Some restaurants are two wishes each but you can pick any entree you want.

Each wish entitles the bearer to one appetizer/soup/salad, one entree, one non-alcoholic drink and one dessert.

If you and your wife are both using wishes then you will each get an appetizer or soup or salad, an entree, a drink and a dessert.

We stuffed our faces. Which restaurants do you plan on visiting?

Actually, the appetizer is seperate from the soup/salad.

So depending on the place, you use 1 or 2 wishes - the selections are the same.

You get 1 appetizer, 1 soup OR salad, 1 entree, 1 non-alchoholic beverage and 1 dessert.

So if you eat at Le Cellier you each use 1 wish each and each get the above listed items. If you eat at Citricos, you each ue 2 wishes each and get the above listed items.

Order the pricest thing on the menu if that strikes your fancy. That is what makes this package worthwhile. Some places will even have lobster or other pricy things they will offer if you are paying with wishes.

15% tip is covered. For great service, we leave more in cash.

We have found the servers to be very accomodating when you have wishes as their tip is based on the cost of your meal. They can create a surf/turf plate that is not on the menu, etc.

You will get a separate bill for alcohol and we always pay the tip on that and add something extra for really excellent service.

I know the tip is included with the wishes, but do people sometimes tip a little extra anyway?

Included tip is 15%. I tip an additional 5-10% depending on the quality of the restaurant and the service.

When we used the "discovery magic" in 2000, it was true that you received salad or soup, appetiser, entree, non alcoholic drink and desert. In 2002 they changed it to salad/soup/appetiser, entree, non alcoholic drink and desert. Still plenty of food!

My DH and I would usually split a salad (they'd bring it on separate plates) and share an appetiser. At many places (like Portabello's) they'd add a lobster tail to the entree!

Even at the 2-wish restaurants we found that we'd get our wishes worth - Fulton's was quite a steal on the plan. Taxes and 15% tip are included in the plan. We'd tip extra on the wine we'd order with dinner and usually bring the tip up to 20% if the service was especially good. Our server at Flying Fish was quite touched, he said that those on the plan didn't usually add anything!

1-wish restaurants that were really the deal for us were Chefs de France, Rainforest Cafe and Portabello's.

If you avoid using your wishes for breakfast, character meals and buffets you will really get your wishes worth.

Have a really great time!

I was wondering if you can use your wishes at counter service resturants like the Riverside Mill at Port Orleans? And if you can how much can you spend and how do they determine what you can get? Thank you for all your help you guys have been so much help.:p :bounce: :Pinkbounc

You can use your wishes for meals anywhere except: Victoria & Alberts and the Chef's Domaine at Citricos.

Given that each wish works out to approximately $29-34 each (for adults) depending on how much you paid for your vacation (with Disney Club discounts, etc.) - I would avoid using your wishes for anything that costs less than $30. Counter service, buffets, character meals, breakfast are usually well under the $30 dollar mark.

Cirque tickets are a good deal at 2-wishes, tours for 1-wish, Hoop De Doo for 1-wish - all good bargains and are on the plan as well as sit-down restaurants.

In May 2002, my DH and I would pay for a counter service meal if we were dining at a 2-wish restaurant for dinner that evening, or would have a nice sit-down lunch (like Chefs de France or Marakesh) if dining at a 1-wish restaurant for dinner.

Check out the menus on WDWIG.com to help your planning. They will help you make the best decisions on what to use your wishes for.
