Silver level question

My wife and I (silver level) are taking my son, his wife and two grandchildren on the Magic at the end of April next year. They have never cruised before. Now we will be able to book our excursion and such early but they will not. I worried that we might not be able to get us all on the same excursions because of the delay. We have connecting cabins which I reserved and linked and I'm wondering if I should swap my wife and DIL so we have a CC member in each cabin. This would allow us to book on the same date. Being as I made the reservation, could I then book excursions for all of us at the same time or would I have to do the people in my cabin and my son for those in the other. After the normal booking date could I swap the names back to the appropriate cabins?

You can swap the names, and as long as you have no doubts about your son and his family canceling, you can keep it swapped. DCL doesn't care where you sleep once you're onboard, and they will give you the right keys so that your wife can sleep in your room, etc. That way they will also get the CC stateroom gifts, which they wouldn't get if there wasn't at least one CC member in the room.
