Was in Disney area on business last week and dropped by the Silver Lake Resort for a preview of the place prior to our December vacation there.

In a nutshell, the layout and look of the clubhouse and resort area seem very nice...not too large, not too small.

The pool area is quite large with a bar and snack bar. Game room seemed well maintained and the little theater was a very nice amenity. Tennis court and basketball court right by the pool. The workout facility seemed a bit limited, with only cardio machines.

Did not go into the rooms, but the overall appearance and upkeep of the facilities made it obvious to me that the $236 I paid on Skyauction for a 3 bedroom over 7 nights was a good buy!

Can't wait to go there in December!

We loved, loved, loved Silver Lake! Twice stayed in a 2-bedroom...loved it both times. The location is phenomenal...and the last time we were there, the new "back" exit was a few weeks away from opening. Once open, you turn left....and you're in the Animal Kingdom Lodge parking lot and Disney property in about a minute and a half!
The pool is great.....and the little cabana bar/restaurant fun also. Had many good times there. You'll love it! (We also enjoyed the deal they offered....20 bucks and you can rent as many movies as you want for a week.)

we should enjoy these "bargains" while we can....

there seems to be a movement afoot within the developer community that is upset people are getting such good deals on skyauction when they are trying to sell the same timeshare for $$$$

have noticed that vacation village does not seem to be available for ready set go auctions now at least for 2 bedrooms

last year they had the hilton grand vacations in orlando and las vegas ....now they do not appear .....

some of the inventory for skyauction comes from RCI but if enough pressure is put on RCI ......they may withold it .....

right now nothing showing up for Orlando for all of january - april 2005 on ready set go find weeks even though those auctions are suppost to be good until july 2005...then i stopped searching..
