My DD (21) booked a direct flight from Pensacola to Orlando with this airline. I just looked them up, and I am freaking out. This is a small propeller plane. Also, looked on Trip advisor and the reviews are terrible. She booked through Priceline. I called and told her, she doesn't seemed concerned. She and her husband have never flown and I would want their first experience flying to be a good one.

Has anyone used this airline?

.....and if they needed to, can you cancel if you book through Priceline? (I have never used them)
I asked DD what the cancellation policy was, and she said "I don't know"

We used them a couple of years ago to fly to the Bahamas. No frills but a friendly crew.
I think we paid about $50 each way to Freeport which was way lower than everyone else.
They are a small regional airline and only fly SAAB 350's, twin turbo props. Not a bad little plane, only holds about 30 people.
Pensacola to Orlando will be a really short flight (probably an hour or less).
I think it took just over an hour for our flight from Fort Lauderdale to Freeport and it was a pretty smooth flight. Sad thing was that we had to be at the airport 2 hours early because it was an International flight.
These are pretty small planes so I would suspect it could get bumpy if the weather was bad.
On our flight I seem to recall the captain announcing that we were flying at 16,000 feet and 290mph (definitely not jet speeds)

FYI: they are partnered up with United Airlines and fly some of their United Express (shorter routes) in Florida, Washington, West Virginia and Pennsylvania

FYI, I think you mean "nonstop." A "direct" flight usually means a flight that doesn't require a change of aircraft but has a stop.

And why, precisely, does that make you freak out?

As are the reviews for virtually every U.S. airline.

Given that there are no other nonstops between Pensacola and Orlando, do you think they would have a better experiencing flying out of their way and making a connection?

Thanks, makes me feel better

Yes, I did mean "nonstop"

I guess, I feel like a jet would be a smoother ride for someone flying for the first time. (as they are both a little nervous about flying)

True. But, not very many positive ones for Silver Airways

I am worried if they get to the airport, and their flight is delayed or cancelled (as many on trip advisor stated, happened to them) they will be stuck. I don't want their trip ruined, plus they are young and inexperienced with flying. So, I would rather they were flying with someone, more dependable
