.............I need to make some ADR's and book a tour for our 1st DVC trip in April. Do I call and make these ressies thru member services or the wdwdining line? Does it matter? Also, DH and I want to book the keys to the kingdom tour - is that something I have to pay for now or the day of the tour? THANKS!!

Is there an advantage to calling MS to make ADR's for dining? In the past, I've just always called the Disney Dining Phone #. My reasoning was that would free up someone at MS to make a DVC ressie for someone, instead of doing my dining ADR's. Am I wrong on this? Please let me know, as I'm in the planning stage right now as far as ADR's go. Thanks!

you are right as rain, IMO. (although i'm not entirely sure what that means...)

our dues pay MS, so it's better to make dining ADRs through the dining people. MS probably also deals with more DVC reservations than dining reservations, so i'm betting they would be more likely to mess up a dining reservation than the dining specialists.

I believe that tours are actually booked through 407-WDW-tour.

The Keys to the Kingdom tour is a blast. We did it a few years back and loved it. I believe you do pay for it when you book it. don't forget to mention your DVC for your discount.:cool1:

I always call the Dining number. They are open longer hours than MS. If you use MS for something hard to get, you may be out of luck. Besides that, dining is usually easier to get through to - especially in January!!!!

I always use WDW DIne. I tried to use MS once because I was on the phone making a ressie, and the times they had available were not good a9:30 with a 2 and 5 yr old were not working. I hung up with MS and disney dinning had the 5:0 seating I was looking for.

Thanks guys, think I will just call the WDW dining line then and make my ressies. One other question..........we want to buy season passes with DVC - can we do that at any of the parks or at a DVC resort when we get there or does it have to be ahead of time?

You can buy annual passes with the DVC discount on site at one of the parks or at Downtown Disney. Just be sure to have your DVC membership card and a photos ID along for each adult getting the pass.

You do NOT have to buy the DVC-discounted passes ahead of time.
