I am a new member (less than a week) and though I understand the DVC portion, there is some of the other "stuffs" I don't know yet. :upsidedow

For instance...........

When you book a DVC reservation, what all do you receive? Do they send you a package before arrival like CRO does?

When you stay DVC and add on the dining plan, can you choose from a the Quick Service, Basic or Deluxe Options just like booking a regular package?

Are there any hidden perks that are not listed out on the dvcmembers.com site?

And what does "declared" mean?

You will receive a 1 page printed confirmation of your reservation about 10 days after making it. No other packet like CRO.

Yes, DVC reservations may add the DP with the same options except that no admission ticket is required for purchase.

At check-in you will receive a copy of the "Portable Perks" with the discounts available during your stay.

And what does "declared" mean?
When DVD begins selling a new resort member access to make reservations there is based on villas "declared" into the Member inventory. At this time BLT is a over 50% declared into member inventory, meaning that % of the villas may be used for point based reservations. As sales continue, more units are "declared" into inventory so those units may be sold, but until that time they are available only to the developer - usually for cash reservations only.

When you book, you will see your reservation in your points section on your MyDVC page on the website. You might also get a paper confirmation saying what you booked and when. No other packets until you check into the resort.

Yes you can add the dining plan of your choice. Just make sure you tell Member services that at least 36 hours ahead of your trip. You will pay for the entire meal plan when you check in. FYI, after researching this for several trips, we have discovered that the DDP costs us significantly more than paying out of pocket for our meals and using the TIW discount card purchased when we buy our Annual passes.

Not sure where you are seeing declared. If you are saying declared inventory, that means inventory that has been admitted to the timeshare. Undeclared inventory are units that have not yet been admitted to the timeshare association, but are part of the resort.

Sorry, looks like Doc and I were posting at the same time!

One more word about the dining plan. Though the basic DP may or may not be the most economical for your situation, you can check out the deluxe DP, too. Though more expensive, it is far more inclusive. For those of us who don't travel to Disney but once a year and who enjoy eating at TS restaurants--including signature ones most every night--buying an AP and then the subsequent TIW actually costs more than a DxDP.
