I think I know the answer to this, but wanted to throw it out there:

If I want to dine at Epcot, and don't have park hopper, can I still dine there if I have already visited Magic Kingdom that day? pooh:

I am pretty sure the answer to that is no. You would need park hopper option to go to MK and eat at Epcot.

Except for certain special events, park admission is always needed to dine at restaurants that are inside the theme parks.

This is exactly why we always get hoppers. It allows us to visit whatever park we feel like on any given day and dine at Epcot or any other park. Also nice to visit a late night park after visiting AK which closes earlier.

Same here :thumbsup2 plus it makes it easier if we want to go to an Epcot resort restaurant. We get the bus from POFQ to Epcot and walk to the International Gateway.Plus if we are done before Epcot closes we go back the same way.

When you make any reservation for an in-park restaurant you will be warned that a valid admission to the park is required. And if you have been to another park that day and do not have a hopper you do not have valid admission.
