OK, this is going to sound like a really silly question - but are the white pages that come in top-load scrapbooks acid-free, or just cheaper paper to fill the slots until you replace it with your colored/patterned good stuff?

I'm not even a new scrapper, but I so very rarely do a white page that I have a stack of this. I'm wondering whether to find ways to use it more, or give it to DS to draw on?

To my knowledge they are acid free, especially if you are using higher quality albums. I use that paper all the time...sometimes as background and sometimes for paper piecing or letters.

I'm sorry I can't help. I have never used that paper for anything. Every time I buy a new album I take all those papers out and give it to my son, who loves to draw.

Thanks. I hoped it was, but figured it wouldn't hurt to check with fellow scrappers. I'm working on a two-page layout this morning that I really like best on plain white, so I'll use a couple pieces today.

I believe it is, most albums say "acid/lignon free" and I'd have to believe that's not just the plastic sleeves, but also the white pages. I use them whenever I want white paper or a white background.

I take them out and use them for mats and journal boxes.

I guess to know for sure, you'd have to buy one of those acid tester pens.

I've used them for backgrounds, mats, cricut cutouts, and whatever else I needed white paper for. I guess I never even though about it.

You know what? I've NEVER taken them out of any of my scrapbooks because I didn't think that far. I just put my layouts in over those. Thanks for the ideas on what to do with them.
