Sorry if this question was asked elsewhere.

We're a party of 6 - I'm not sure if the kids will really like the mains we ordered for breakfast but I know they'll enjoy the patstries. Does each party receive the same number of pastries regardless of party size or do they add to the number based on larger parties?

Thanks very much!

The pastry plate is based on how many meals you order. You get one plate for every 3 meals (or portion thereof) if you order 4-6 meals, you’ll get two plates.

I might be wrong on the number of meals. You might need to order 5 meals to get that second pastry plate.

Or if you order separately (in different tickets/orders), each person gets their own plate of pastries :D Discovered that last time we were there. Sis & I put our orders on one ticket; friend put hers on another. We got two sets of pastries.

I was going to say the same thing.

I don't eat breakfast, so when I went with my youngest, we just ordered one meal. We got a full serving of pastries, which we took to go (they do have a box, but second time we just brought a ziploc bag for them; so many folks don't eat them all & it's such a waste).

If you order separately, each order, even if it's one meal, will get the pastries.

If you know the kids will enjoy them, and not a meal, then I'd just skip ordering entrees for them entirely, and let them have the pastries for their breakfast. It would be a waste to order them the entrees if they don't really care for them.

Edited to add: I think to do more than one order and pay separately, don't preorder? Someone else can chime in on this. Or it may be that you'd need more than one ADR, which can be tricky as it's a popular restaurant.

It can be the same adr. Once you check in at the front and are told to cross the bridge, the people in the castle won't know if you're on the same ADR . Me, sis, and friend were on same ADR. we told them we wanted to pay separately so they showed us the kiosk separately.

It can be the same ADR (as quoted) as long as you don't pre-order.

We have a party of 6, thinking of having groups of 2 order bc really 6 adults need 3 pastry plates..

This is a great question as I’ve always wondered about the ratio! I am curious about whether the same rules apply for the gluten free meals with the yummy bread.

We ate there for breakfast yesterday. We are a party of 5 and they brought us 2 platters of pastries. It was more than enough

I don't think it is as simple as ordering separately. I went with two other people and we all ordered separately but we were only given one platter of pastries (which was fine for us cause we are not big eaters). I went 10 months later with my family of 4 - we all placed our order at the same time. They brought us one plate of pastries but we asked for another and they gave it to us with no hesitation. It never hurts to just ask for more.

When we have ordered in the past, we get a plate of gluten free bread with a gluten free meal and a plate of the regular pastries with a regular meal. We usually only get 2 meals for 4 of us and share.

This thread is cracking me up. Ordering meals separately just to get more free pastries is really a thing?!? Yet another loophole that Disney will have to find a way to close.
The pastries aren't free. They are included in the price of the meal. It makes sense for Disney not to give people pastries they won't eat but there is nothing wrong with this practice if you know you will eat them (at some point).

Right...included with the price of the meal. So intended as a supplement to the meal you ordered. Not as a replacement for the meal as some people are suggesting.

Those pastries are pretty cheap (and mostly not great in my opinion) so I think it's reasonable to expect, if you ask or by ordering separately, that every full priced ($25) meal is entitled to one basket of cheap pastries if you elect to have them. More than one per meal would be gaming the system, however.

In our experience two months ago, we received one tray of pastries for four people (4 Disney adults). We did the pre-order. I was wondering ahead if one tray would have been enough but it was plenty, as we actually left a couple pastries untouched.
