Do any of you (as adults) take a slide ? :confused3

I'm a real pool person, and the idea of going down a slide excites the kid within (especially as we're staying at the DLH which looks like it has a great one), but tbh, don't want to break the thing, nor create such a huge splash that my kids wish for the ground to open up and swallow them whole due to embarassment.... :flower3:

Would I be the lone adult slider ?!?!?

I use the slides when we go to WDW and I intend to use the slide next week at the Grand Californian, I doubt you will be alone!!

Of course you can use the slide! It's there for everyone.

Have a great time!

Thankyou - I intend to thoroughly enjoy myself :wizard:

I have used the slide at the Disneyland Hotel. It isn't very long, but it curves around and has some kind of plants/flowers around it. I never miss a waterslide!!:cool2:

I did the slide at GCH. I'm in my mid-40s, pooh-shaped, and I was wearing one of those horrible swimsuits with a skirt in a vain attempt to camoflage my thunder thighs and backside. Nobody looked at me funny; while most of the sliders were kids, there were adults using it too. Go for it! :thumbsup2

Go for it!! I never tried the slide until a year ago ( age 31). I was always scared that I would get stuck going down.:lmao: Anyways, safe to say no emergency crews had to come and "cut" me out!:rotfl: I enjoyed the slide very much and even went down with hubby. If I can do it, then anybody can!!

My husband and I used the slide at the PPH on our last trip. It was fun. I plan on going again this time around.

You won't be alone. I'll be right behind you! I love water slides and always go on them. I've done the one at GCH and really liked it. I'm looking forward to trying the one at DLH when we go this fall.

No, it doesn't go in the pool. I never thought about that before. I just got a new computer, so it doesn't have my old pics on it. I will download them though as soon as I can and post them. I think the slide at PPH would be better than the DLH one. I haven't been to the DLH yet though, so I really can't say for certain. The PPH one is taller and longer from the looks of it. It's very fun. I wasn't really supposed to be sliding on it during our last trip, because I was pregnant, but I did anyway. It wasn't dangerous or anything. Besides, I was in the early stages.

You just described me (though my swimsuit doesn't have a skirt...) :rotfl:

I was worried about it, too, but my DS (6yo at the time) really wanted to go but was nervous going by himself. So after watching a woman gently glide feet first into the water, not even getting her hair wet, I decided to risk public embarrassment.

Standing in line in front of me were two tall, burly guys who apparently had been down the slide many times. If THEY didn't get stuck, I sure wasn't going to. :thumbsup2

When it was my turn, I pushed off and glided through the first turn, then picked up speed through the second and I think there was a third turn before I WHOOSHED through the air with my feet up, landing spectacularly butt-first in the pool. :lmao:

Soooo... Heck yeah, do the slide! Just don't expect to keep your hair dry. :rolleyes1
