Silly Question About Disney Buses in the AM

I was planning on hopefully getting a 7AM seating for Chef Mickey's. I am not worried about getting there so early.

What I am wondering is, if we finish at around 8:30 for example and head for the Pop bus at MK, we'll be able to take it back right, there should be a bus going back to Pop that early...

I ask this because I remember only being dropped off at the bus stop closest to the main gate every time in AM.

I am staying at Pop a week earlier than you and wanted and early seating for Chef Mickey breakfast as well but I am worried about how to get there any earlier than 8ish. Everyone I have asked at WDW has told me the best way to get there is to take the bus from Pop to Magic Kingdom and get on the monorail at the TTC. Then I was told the bus to Magic Kingdom won't start running until one hour prior to park opening which will be 9 AM the day we were planning on doing Chef Mickey.

Any suggestions??

Buses start running around 6:30am daily for people going to the various meals througout WDW. These buses don't run as frequently as the normal theme park bus runs so allow extra time in case you just miss one. If you are going to Chef Mickey's tell this to the driver. Some drivers will drop you off right at the resort. If you get off at the MK you can take the seven minute walk to the Contemporary. Just walk away from the MK entrance and the monorail entrance. You will be walking under the monorail track heading to the Contemporary. This will be much faster than walking to the monorail and waiting for one to arrive.

Your other option, if you prefer, is to take a taxi from your resort to the Contemporary. Fast, reasonably price and always available. Taxis are normally waiting at all WDW resorts. Just ask the Cast Member working at the outside podium and he/she will get one for you right away.

I was hoping to ride the monorail so my kids could go in the front car and get a co-pilot's license. I guess I could do that when we ride the monorail to Epcot after breakfast.

The cab is probably out as there are 6 of us and one is a 2 yr old.

Going from Pop to Chef Mickey's I should still probably allow 45 min to an hour, in case I miss the bus or something, right?

Just clarifying: about 6:30 for the Magic Kingdom, about 7 to the other parks.

Just to clarify... YES, there will be a bus back to Pop Century, but it won't be a regularly scheduled bus. They will only run buses "upstream" when there are guests waiting. So by that, make sure to wait in the bus stop queue so that the dispatcher can see that someone is waiting.
