silk screening - kid's name on sweater

Hi,
My kid is in the swim team and I like to print her name on her sweater.
When I was younger, I used to know how to do silk screening, I even printed the logo for my team, but I forget how to do it now..I tried google and none seems familiar.

Hence my question does anyone know what is a cheap way to put my kid's name on her sweater? It does not need to be silk screened, and I may do more than one and may eventually put her name on her flannel pants etc...

I did silk screening in high school...but I don't remember enough to tell you how it's done.

Have you thought of something along the lines of iron on letters?

I did a google and found something that I may have to purchase a sheet which includes letters that I don't really need.

Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart and Michaels all carry iron on letters.

just an fyi silk screening is generally not good with a sweater. The ink will crck as the sweater stretches out to be worn
