I haven't received my floral Proposal yet but I was wondering if anyone decided against Disney Floral & used Silk flowers instead? I was thinking of doing my bouquet & the flower girls flowers in silk, and having disney do the centerpieces, arrangement for alter, guy's flowers, mothers flowers and some small odds & ends.
OR having disney do just the centerpieces and the alter arrangement & do all the other flowers in Slik. I know someone that will do the silks for me for free!

any ideas would be great!! Thanks

Since flowers can be really pricey (and then they die!) why not go for silk? My sister did silk (not at wdw) and you could not tell the difference...and if youa re getting it for free then why not! Every penny counts

I agree... Silk can also be beautiful! It is a great way to save money! We are also considering the same!

I am doing silk! In fact I already have my flowers!
And the don't take up much room either-I was initially concerned about that.

I had Disney replicate our mother's corsages in silk and they looked fantastic. I had to tell my mom that it was silk when I gave it to her. Just be aware that going with silk with Disney won't save you money - it's about the same price if not more. At least they last, though!

I went with Disney and had them do silk. Everything was beautiful and it really wasn't that much more $$ than real. I just sent them pictures of exactly what I wanted and they duplicated them just in silk. I even had "hidden mickey" pearls in my bouquet!

I'm also very seriously considering silk. I'm with some of you on spending that much money, only to have them die shortly therafter. I spend enough just to keep up with the annuals in my landscaping every year!

I've found a website that appears to have some nice choices, but I can't vouch for their quality, as I've yet to purchase from them. I plan to buy a small bouquet soon to check their quality.

Just in case you didn't know, if you are planning to use rose petals for your exit, Disney does permit you to use silk. This same website had what seemed to be reasonable prices for loose petals as well (200 petals for $6.99).

Check them out and tell me what you think...www.thebridesbouquet.com.

Hello
My granfather makes really beautiful arragements, so hes doing the bougets for all bridesmaids, mine, and all the boutinerres for the groomsmen.

After i got the budget from disney for the other flowers, im trying to find a local florsit to make the corsages, extra boutinerrs and alter arrangement. The cost is WAY over priced.
