Silicone I.D. Bracelets For Kids

We made dog tags for our kids, the ones in the parks. We put our cell phone numbers on those. We have one Nemo and one Star Wars. Very cute.

Wow, looks like several of you are recommending Road I.D.
Looks like a nice quality product.

For our needs, I was looking for something less expensive, since it won't be used after our WDW trip.
I'm the out-of-state aunt. I will recommend these to their parents, though. :thumbsup2

Thank you all for your suggestions! :)

I made my kids dogtags out of the quick service machine at Walmart. It was $6 for each with Batman. I put a general "If found please Call" along with both of our cell numbers. Then went back to the ceiling fan dept and picked up a 6' length of chain for $1.50 that comes with two attacher things and simply cut to fit once I got home with some wire cutters. They can swim and sleep with the tags and later I can just attach them to luggage or to the camera bag.

I used dog tags too when my DS was young. Only difference I threaded it onto his sneaker, upside down so nobody could read it and he knew to go straight to a CM.

Or just buy any silicone bracelet at the store and write whatever you want on the inside with a sharpie. If your kids get lost, they can show it to a cm.

When my boys were small, I printed a small card for each of them with our contact info, laminated it, rounded off the corners so they weren't scratchy, punched two holes in it and safety pinned it to the waistband of their shorts. It was hidden by the bottom of their T-shirt but easily accessible. This was very inexpensive (I had some adhesive laminating sheets on hand) and quick to make. If you don't have laminating sheets you could probably even use clear packing tape on the front and back to laminate it.

They will not be the cheapest, but they are the industry leader. Without question, this is the best ID product on the market.

Another vote for Road ID.

My son hasnt taken his off since our Disney Cruise in December.
My daughter wont stop taking hers off, but we're working on that.

High quality product. Lots of options. plus you can buy one tag and transfer it among multiple band colors.

I got my kids the Slim model.
even with the slim model i was able to fit:
Child's name
Mom and Dad's name
Mom and Dad's numbers
Granny #1 name and number
Granny #2 name and number

What I did was buy some kids Disney-themed ones at a party store and wrote our information on the inside of it with a Sharpie. Because it's silicone the marker rubs off, but if you bake the bracelets for about 5-10 minutes at 350 degrees, the marker won't rub off. Super cheap and easy!

Have a safe and happy trip!

You might want to look into Road ID. They are a bit more expensive, but are really good quality and will hold up well in all kinds of weather and movement. They are meant for runners or bikers as a safety measure.

I have two for myself for when I am running, and I bought one for my 2 year old nephew last year. Works great!

Just an update on my search for custom wristbands.

I ordered from 24 hr. Wristbands AKA Imprint.com.
What I got was, 2 Youth size White Glow-In-The-Dark bands, with 2 cell numbers debossed around the surface.

The numbers are quite difficult to read, which actually might be good for privacy. You have to look very close to read them.

I would order way before you need them, unless you want to pay rush fees. It is insanely slow if you order the least expensive way. Our trip is not till October, so this was not a problem.

It took 16 days to get the bands. I ordered on June 12th, they arrived on June 28th.

2 bands, nothing special, no art, basic shipping, came to $13.33

I think these will work out great, because the kids can shower, swim and keep these on 24-7.

Shanrene.com is still going. We ordered from them and asked for biggest font available and it was better and they print and ship fast, but the kids love the glow in the dark.

Try www.mediband.com for medical ID - mostly custom silicone wristbands, but they have a version which is bold and the writing engraved on the outside, or they also have stylish designer reversible medibands with a pattern on the outside and the inside is where your medical/contact information is engraved. Mediband also have write-on silicone bands. Otherwise, try www.handband.com.au for custom silicone wristbands too.

Zombie Thread Alert.
