Silhouttes?

I thought I read some where that you can silhoutee portraits done some where? Main Street? Anyone know where or how much it is?

I was going to do that last time with DD but forgot.. its in my plan book at home.. but I think it was REALLY cheap.. like $10 bucks or something?

It's $9 a person, and you get two copies. As you're walking down main street toward the castle, it's about half way down on your right side.

Yep, $9 a person and worth every penny. These are some of my favorite souvenirs from over the years.

We had this done last week - 2 kids and framed, $30.40. ($9 each child + $9.95 frame + tax). I knew I would regret it if I didn't have it done, but in retrospect, I wish I would've looked at them more closely right after it was done. It doesn't look like our older child at all - other than the hairline and long eyelashes - his facial features are way off - in fact both silhouettes look like a larger/smaller version of our younger child.

There were 2 other families in the room while we were having ours done and I didn't want to complain in front of them... now wishing I would've said something.

Lesson learned: Look at it closely before you leave and speak up, if necessary!

I have been wantign to get them done but I hear a lot about having botch jobs are that it looks very generic. I would love to get one of myself and DH.

Yes more than one person can be included and these are cut by hand in front of your very eyes.These ladies are super talented and you will be amazed.

They can even do people or pets from photos. We asked about our dogs, they said "bring in a photo". We didn't but we should have. I love the silhouette we have of the girls, I think it looks very much like them.

...my parents have one of my grandmother and her father done at the summer fair when she was a child this would be neat to put with it. Hers is about 85years old...

When we did our Mother/Daughter Trip in September we got this for our mom. There was a total of 5 of us in the picture and we were really happy with it!! They are indeed really quick about it.

Just a suggestion - go when Sylvia is there. She has been there for over 30 years and does a great job IMO. We had a different gal one year and she did a really good job, but had a much different style. I regretted not waiting until Sylvia was there.

I had ours done at WDW and it is my picture over there to the left IT is my 3 boys and was done ummmmm about 4 yrs ago I think we need an updated one

I have one of my son and myself together. Looks just like him, me on the other hand. I look like a kid. Then again since they do the majority of kids I wasn't suprised. I think I'll be getting a new one of him this year.

Also, when you buy the silhouette, you get 2 copies of the picture. The artist cuts 2 pieces of paper at a time. We had one framed and have a spare.

And, not to be a negative nellie, but we also had Sylvia - so even she doesn't get it right every time. Just thought you should know.
