I'd like to get these done of our 3 boys, ages 5, 3 and 11 months. How long does it take? Do they have to sit still the entire time? How much does it cost? Where are the locations? Can they do all 3 of them together, or is it better, do you think, to have them done separately?

Thank you!!! :)

I had this done a few years ago. I am pretty sure that there is a location in Downtown Disney. My brother and I had it done together and it only took about 10 minutes. I believe that there could be 3 in a picture. Hope this helps!!

One of our favorite souvenirs are the silhouettes. I had one made of my baby during his first visit. It is adorable. He was almost 11 months old and had those adorable baby curls. We had it done in Liberty Square by a wonderful lady who has been there for a long time. She was very fast and he was not still by any means. It turned out wonderful. On our last trip, I wanted to get all three boys done together to give to the Grandmothers for Christmas. The same lady was there, which thrilled me. She was so quick with them. The middle son, a redhead :D was having a major meltdown about something (who remembers?) and was literally screaming and crying while she did the cutting. His mouth was wide open the whole time. I was embarrassed, but she dsn't bat an eye. I was shocked at how well she captured them, especially with his behavior. I would recommmend her, she is very talented and great with the kids.

we had our 2 DD done on Main street..total approx 10 minutes....we asked for 2 copies and he did them at the same time.. really cool as they are mirror images...cost? $12-$15 I think, cheaper than a characture and much better if you ask me....

We had DS and DD's silhouettes done at DTD last year. If I remember correctly, it was by the little carousel in Marketplace.

They were really inexpensive ($11 each?) and she gave us 3 copies of each. Guess what the grandparents got for last Christmas?

Can't wait to get our baby DD done in May! :D

I had my 2 DS's done at DTD on NYE last month at a cart in front of the RFC.

I had them done individually. It was really quick about 5 minutes for each one. They didnt have to be perfectly still (my 5 yr old wasnt). The cost was $8.95 each plus tax and the black Oval Plastic frame (doesnt look plastic) were $8.50. They turned out beautifully, you receive 3 copies of each child.

I thought the price was great (even framed) less than $40 for the 2 of them for a hand cut art that only a few people in the world can do.

I have one suggestion, next time we have this done, I am going to nicely request the artist sign and date the silo's as they are really works of art!
We will most likely do the whole family next time.

We never do the caricatures but when I saw these I knew we had to get them.

Would anyone mind posting a picture of one? I'm not entirely sure what they look like...

Thanks!

Here is a photo of our son's silhouette. I also included a photo of his profile to compare. His curls were smushed in the photo. I don't have a copy of the one we had done of the three boys together, but I'll try to get a photo of it when I visit my parents.

LIFERBABE-That's a great idea about having the artist sign/date them. ::yes::

Angie-Thanks for sharing the photo-so cute! :)
