I came upon this blog post & I really want to do this with our kids. I think it would be fun to do a family one, and one of each of my 2 kids individually, but this can get expensive. I thought it might would also be neat to give my mother-in-law a version with both kids together too. I can't decide what I want to do! I was wondering if anyone knows how long does it takes to do one person, and do they have multiple cast members who cut out the silhouettes. Is Magic Kingdom the only park with silhouettes? And does anyone prefer one silhouette shop over the other? We are going to the Magic Kingdom on multiple days, and probably will probably try to go there on most evenings. So I figure if I want to do multiple silhouettes, I could do it on multiple trips. I'm afraid the kids won't be still long enough, but it seems as if I could snap photo of them with phone with side profile too.

We did our girls at Downtown Disney. The whole process took maaaaaybe 6 minutes? We had all 3 together, but he cut each girl seperate and then pasted them on the paper. And, you get 3 copies -- so we kept one and gave each of the grandmothers one as Christmas gifts.

I suppose you could ask if they would do each child seperate then take one of the 3 copies and paste them together for your mother in law?

I have all my kids from Disney. They used to do it at Macy's a few times a year and it was about 5-6x more to do it there. I think it's one of the best deals at Disney. They did do one from my DS photo because he was not with me and growing up fast. It's good but not nearly as good as the other two they did in person. Thinking about doing the dog now :goodvibes

That is good to know that they do them at Downtown Disney :) And even better news that they do 3 copies! I thought the price was very good, but for all the arrangements, i'd possibly want to do would it could get expensive (with one copy)...So knowing it's 3 copies is sounding a lot cheaper. I had to giggle about when she said she does people's dogs. I was thinking of trying to find a photo of my father-in-law (he died about 4 months ago), but I thought maybe it wouldn't be a good idea. I thought maybe if I did one with my father-in-law and put both kids in it, it would be nice (but maybe eerie?) Can you pay extra to have them matte/frame them?

I think I saw somewhere that they are a bit more expensive in DTD? But I think in MK you only get 2 images, not 3. I'm really not sure. I've never had this done, but I want to have my kids' silhouettes cut on our upcoming visit. From what I've read, the price at MK is $9 and at DTD is $12? I never really know if I'm just reading old information when I see the $9 or if there really is a price difference. Has anyone had this done recently who can tell me the price?

We did it in MK last year. You do get 2 copies. It was very fast for us to get both kids done seperately. I don't remember the exact price, but know I am frugal and would not have paid a lot. It was great to get 2 copies, one for us and one for Grandma. I didn't buy the frames at Disney, just got some at craft store from home.

Did this last August at MK, just off of Main Street. It was a gift for my dad, so it was a triple silhouette: my (at the time) 20 month old, me, and my father. Came out VERY awesome.

This is the best deal in WDW imo. I like to get them done at Paris in Epcot. You get two silhouettes there and I also buy two frames. I don't remember exactly how much it costs but I think all together it's around $35 and it's well worth it. I still have one of me and my sister done over 30 years ago and it still look perfect.

So good to read this post. This is the only souvenir I really wanted for myself (silhouettes of my two daughters) from our upcoming trip in September! I loved the idea when I read about it in a blog post. I was planning on getting this done at the France Pavilion in Epcot, but it's good to know that there are other locations as well.

I had no clue there was a place in Epcot. Now, I'm going to have a hard time deciding where to get it done.

do they say Disney world on them or have mouse ear options? If anyone could post recent places to get done and prices that would be amazing! Thanks!
