is there any ideas on how to save a bit of money since this time frame is so expensive???

She is not that choosy about where she stays...
She thought the All Stars may work out cheaper because no car is needed but I am not sure. It would be 2 kids and 2 adults

I also can't find any flights that are not INSANELY expensive(from Rochester NY to Orlando)

Any ideas where to look?
She wants to travel Dec27-Jan 3

Thanks

Wow! No slam here, but this wanting the Taj Mahal for Motel 6 pricing. Due to the high demand for between Christmas and New Year's, bargains are tough to find. I would look for flights on Christmas Day and return towards January 5. I would look offsite at rental homes for the lowest rates and the potential savings on dining. Due to the high costs of the holiday weeks, we avoid the added expense and travel at other times.

If either adult in the party is: teacher, government employee, or nurse she could try Swan/Dolphin for a little more than the value resorts, maybe even less. It is their slow season because they specialize in conferences and there usually aren't any the week she wants to go. I believe this rate is $139.00/night.

If she books now she could probably have no problem with getting a reservation. She and her group would be walking distance from half of the parks...but there is a boat to those two parks and bus service to the other parks. We've stayed at the Dolphin twice and are planning our next Disney visit the week of Thanksgiving and are staying at the Swan this time.

Hehehehe I know! She is a teacher and he is a Trooper and that was the only week that both did not have to work(he usually works holidays and weekends exact opposite of her)

They are not really looking for the Taj Mahal and would be happy at motel 6. She wanted advice for cheaper days to fly and hotel options that would not break the bank. I will tell her to try a rental home and the Swan/Dolphin and see what comes of that. THANKS!
