I will do an everyday life girl group also. I don't know what I will do but I will use some of my hot pink flock. It will probably be more of a general thing- like a box and mat or such.

I've got all my cricut pieces done for the zoo, Halloween and boy spots. I made 6 hoping the groups get filled. I am doing an altered letter for the boy group -- something new for me. I am making a mat and 2 squares for Halloween and a paper piecing for the zoo group.

Here is my parrot. I really wanted to deserve that teacher's pet smilie!

I flocked the wing. One thing I don't like about the flock is that it covers up some of the detail of the cuts. Any I deas? I have tried marker but it just seems to bleed into the flock. The 2nd photo - -I pop dotted the middle of the wing and then taped down the top and bottom. I was hoping to add some dimension to make up for the loss of detail.

I haven't tried, but what about doing the detail with marker BEFORE you flock? If the marker is dark enough, it should show thru. I think.

I would try inking before flocking. When I made my Sulleys the computer printed lines showed through the flock.

I have never used flock before, so I need to ask a couple of questions:

What's the best way to adhere the flock to a large area? Is there a preferred adhesive?

Also, can you glue things on top of the flock?

I'm looking forward to this. One of my "unoffcial" (which actually means that they can be changed at will) resolutions for 2009 was to try 3 new techniques/projects - so this will get me started on one those goals.

I use my Xyron for most of it, and a zig pen for small pieces. When I made my Sulley, I ran it through the Xyron. Then I attached all the non flocked pieces. Then I applied the flock on what was still sticky.

I used my xyron. I have tried a glue pen but I didn't like it. I don't know the answer to your other question.
