I have ordered travellers cheques and I now need to sign them.

However, I think it would be a good idea if DH signed some himself. Is there any reason why he can't sign some, even though I ordered them?

Well, will the bank that you ordered them from pay out on traveller's checks not signed by the original purchaser?

So that perhaps they may "bounce" a week or so after they've been spent?

The first signature on there by the person who purchased them has to match the signature at the time of purchase so I would say no. Unless you had him sign some at purchase, which he could sign when spending, he can't sign them.

This is the first year I am not taking some money in TC's. They are easy to use onsite but the CM's are VERY careful about checking everything is correct. They check ID, and they always check the signatures when I've used them. I wouldn't risk it

It's been a few years since we used Travellers Cheques; but my DH and I used to sign some each, they don't have a name on do they? Think that's the reason you have to sign them when you get them - are you able to check with you bank?:)

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I have just checked the terms and conditions and it is okay for anyone to sign them - as long as the 2 signatures match! :)

We've always signed some each. But then I end up having to get money from DH as all my cheques seem to disappear first.

I always order our Travellers cheques, then we both sign half each
