Has this been discontinued? This is where you can drop white pillowcases at guest services and the characters will autograph them.

Thanks!

Latest reports have indicated that this has been discountined....it never really was an official policy that they do the signings them...kind of started as a favor to some and turned into a big deal by word of mouth.....

We just had pillow cases signed on our Wonder cruise in June. They came out great!!! Some folks have reported they were told no when they asked to have them signed, but I would suggest if the first CM at guest services says no, just try back another time. Good Luck!! They are a great memento!!::yes::

Did you use just plain white pillowcases?

How did you approach the CM?? Did you say somthing about knowing it can be done and when can they be picked up?? Just wondering what the best way to approach this is...thoughts???

Has anyone been able to get pillowcases signed from the Magic? It looks like only the Wonder is continuing this.

Would a Disney pillowcase, or a custom designed one be more acceptable than an plain white one?

I don't suppose a little groveling would hurt too? lol :worship:

We were on the Magic in May & Guest Services told us they would no longer accept pillow cases. So I go to an autograph sessions and while in line a CM comes over & says they will only sign paper items, no pillow cases.

She then offered to take the pillow cases & have them signed & I could pick it up at guest services on Friday evening.

We tried asking different CM's at Guest Services & all told us the same line.....

We were on the Magic for the June 26th, 2004 cruise. My husband has special family summer vacation shirts made for us to wear the first day. After we took them off, i remembered that i did remember to bring anything to have signed so i took the kids shirts (2) to quest services after 10pm that night when there was no line (and no one to overhear my request). The CM at guest services hesitated a minute then took the shirts. I requested that all characters sign the shirts anywhere they wanted to. Nothing special. I got them back on Friday night (almost forgot to pick them up). They were beautiful, characters signed in different colors using different artwork for their special signatures.:Pinkbounc

I just wished that i had given her my husband and mine also!

I don't think they want it known that they do it, I am so glad i tried anyway.

The shirts will be treasured forever!:teeth: :teeth:

From what I hear, they have been saying they are no longer signing for quite a while. Even before I cruised in April. Anyway, you don't have to use a white pillowcase, I used a lavender one, and made a iron on of a picture of the ship and typed "Gina's First Magic Cruise" on the iron on as well. It came out awesome. I packed it in a ziploc with a matching purple marker, and I asked very nicely at the desk the first night, and they took it no problem but told me that I would have it before we left the ship. I started asking on Wednesday, but it was done on Friday. It came out beautiful. I would definitely bring one and be creative with it. It is a wonderful souvenir, my DD will still not take it out of the ziploc. She wants to keep it nice so she doesn't want to take it out. I'm thinking we may eventually frame it. Good Luck!

they took our pillowcases...Even the CM at the character breakfast took them for me! Then we were standing in line for lilo and stich and they stopped signed autographs --pictures only! But the wonderful CM offered to take the books and have them signed....To my boys this was a bonus,,,,get in line---snap picture is made and mom is happy....off to arcade or pool. Picked up books and pillowcases on friday nite. (don't forget to get a couple extra luggage tags-each floor has a different character) And you are done.

For my family this worked out great! And they were happy and still looking at their books today

We just got off the Magic on July 17. We dropped our pillow cases off at Guest Services on Monday and were told to pick them up on Friday.

The characters used the girls' real names and decorated their autographs with little pictures. They were all in different colors. The girls were thrilled. Standing in line for pictures was quite enough...autographs would have been unbearable for our little girls.

The adults in our groups were saying the same thing about sitting around a table in street clothes signing pillowcases, but what an adorable keepsake!

I know my dd would have LOVED such a pillowcase when she was younger...she's 21 now.

We took DD on a 3 day Eastern last September 11th (!) for her 10th birthday. We bought a cruise t-shirt the first day and took it to guest services and asked it to be signed. By the last night we got it back and the front was completely covered in signatures! DD loves it and gets many compliments (envy mostly!;) ) whenever she wears it. I'm thinking if they balk at pillow cases you bring, try a t-shirt you *bought* at the store! :smooth: Couldn't hurt...
