Has anyone seen the people in line for character meet and greets with the signed balloons? Are they given to the first on line? the last? I couldn't figure it out on our last trip- but my DD sure wanted one!

It is a system that they started to let everyone know the last people in line to see the character before the break. Before you never knew when they would just stop for a break. You could stand there in line sometimes for 20 minutes and then be the next one to see a character and then they tell you that the character will be back in a half an hour. This way you don't waste your time. I was so glad that they started this so everyone knows. We got the balloon for Goofy on our last visit. Then they told everyone that got behind us in line that we were the last family to see Goofy and he would be back at ----. Hope this helps.

It's a great system, now there's no guessing and hoping and waiting unnecessarily!

I work in this department and this is the first i've heard of it.

They were using the balloons on our 12/04 trip, but we didn't see them being used on our 9-10/05 trip - are they still being used? The CMs did seem to be doing a good job of letting people know where the line was going to be cut off at though.

I never saw that method being used when we were there 2 weeks ago. The handlers just kept making announcements that the character was taking a break soon & would be back in a few.

I asked a CM on our last trip why they didn't do this anymore because it seemed like such a great way to know if you would get to meet a character. She said that it was a test and people were abusing the system (surprise, surprise!). She said people who had the balloons would either let people go in front of them or people behind them would offer to buy the balloons and the lines kept growing. Why can't people just follow the rules and not abuse things? It spoiled a great system for everyone.

it is because people are inherantly evil .

same reason parents try to cheat the hight requirements for rides.

its quite refreshing latly to see parents understand this rule and just simply walk away.

i've seen far to many people try to risk their childs safty for their own parental pride. and then curse about it in front of other children.
