Signature seating, not worth it

Just visited Seaworld today with my signature seating to all shows

Do not bother, save your money.

Sea lion show, turned up early got my seat early even though I reserved, only my ticket was checked... everyone else who sat down didn't get checked, 5 minutes before the show they removed the reserved signs and new comers and other people already seated moved and sat in the reserved zone.

Dolphin show, again I got there early staff there demanded I show my ticket and have it ticked off, then when new people arrived there tickets was not checked, eventually after 10 mins they check some people's tickets but again 5 minutes before the show they remove the reserved signs and out of nowhere everyone fills these so called "reserved" seats

Shamu show, turned up early to sit at front of show only to be quickly told my tickets says I'm not allowed in the reserved seating, although it the exact same reserved blue square signs from the previous two shows I went to...

Told to go upstairs only to be told one half I can't sit on and the front row is for VIP and the view there is not great at all, tall railing spoils it, so I just walked back down to sit at front of shamu on the second row...

Save your money, turn up late and your get reserved seats free


Also does anyone know why I couldn't sit at front of the shamu show?

I Never knew about that, they didn't mention about make a wish either at guest relations

Well, I go to One Ocean every week (multiple times a day), and that's what the stadium ops workers tell people. Pus, 95% of people who are sat in the front row are with someone with a MAW button

I never purchased the signature seating, but I had the same observations as OP. Definitely seems to be a ripoff and unnecessary.

I get free preferred seating with my annual pass so I've observed many different things over the years. I have been told many times the I can't sit in the front row in the Shamu show. I actually like sitting in the second row at Shamu since there are always kids in the first row and unless they stand up it's easy to see the show over them. t

Last week I went two different days and it seemed like they kept the reserved area closed more than normal. Prior years they always opened it up so late arrivals would get really good seats which does not seem fair.

Both times I went to the dolphin show they checked everyone's tickets right up until the start of the show then opened the area up to all. Not many really knew they could come sit there so it remained pretty empty.

Once at the pets show and once at the seal show no one was there checking tickets. Luckily not everyone filled up the seats before I got there.

When my husband comes with me they usually let him sit with me even though he only has a day pass but this was before they were selling the preferred seating as an extra ticket. I would not recommend that he would buy it just wait until the show starts then come sit next to me.

If you get to any show early enough seating should not be an issue. My brother-in-law and his family will be coming with me at Thanksgiving and I plan to ask if they can sit with me. If not I'll just ask if they can come sit with me once the show starts. We'll see how it goes.
