Do you feel on the dinning plan that the signature restaurants are worth the two TS points? It seems like the price range is the same for these as the regular TS meals. That does not seem worth while to do it unless you are on DXDP and know that you wont eat all those meals.

I have Jikos ressies and I know I will keep those but I did drop brown derby because I did not feel it was worth two.

For me, it's worth 2 at HBD, CG, & Narcooses. Jiko, no. The others, I can't say. I would not use them for Hoop De Doo or the Luau, because I have done both of those and don't need to repeat. The signature places are as much about atmosphere as food, and I think the food is better than most of the T/S places. It is really a personal decision, everyone has their own tastes. It you were me, you would have dropped Jiko and kept HBD. Because I was underwhelmed at Jiko. Again, many people rave over it, but I didn't see the bonus.

I think that there are several signature locations that are worth it.

Hollywood Brown Derby may be great but I would always choose to pay OOP for this location unless on the deluxe. The prices here are fairly low.

I would also say that there are several reg. table service locations that definately give you a great bang for your buck value wise, and great food!

Since we usuaally have a day when we eat all CS we compensate by having a meal at signature dining. That way we don't waste any credits.

It is definitely worth it if you are getting Narcoosee's Surf and Turf dinner. Grilled Filet Mignon and Butter-Poached Lobster Tail, potato gratin and green peppercorn brandy sauce (normally $58). It is great! Then I get the Key Lime Creme Brulee for dessert. We love Narcoosee's.

We use 2 TS credits at Narcoossee's. Order the Surf and Turf. Excellent, and very much worth it.

Artist Point i would do, Brown Derby, not so much. I just ate there this morning, it was meh

Thanks to your recomendations I went ahead and got myself a narcoose ressie. Now of course I am back to double guessing jikos but I took that mostly because I wanted a relaxed evening at the hotel and Bomas was booked.

leann, Jiko = relaxing boma = lots of noise, activity, etc. T/S at Jikp vs Buffert at Boma. I think you wil be fine.

We did do the Deluxe dining plan and felt that our meals at California Grill, Narcoosees and Jiko were all worth the double credits. Jiko was wonderful! We both had flatbreads and filets and they were both very good.

DF was just asking if the Surf and Turf was included with the DDP. We're going next June. I hope it continues to be included

For me, it's worth 2 at Narcooses. Jiko, no. The others, I can't say.

I guess everyone's experiences are different. I have been to Jiko several times and have always had a great meal and wonderful service.

The one time I ventured over to Narcoossee's I was left to rot in their waiting room for what was ages. Then to be dumped at a table by the kitchen and servers bar pick up. I almost left like I worked there. The service was a hodge podge of people who happen to wander by. I wish I was kidding but we never saw the same server twice.... I will give them that the food was very good, but I have had MUCH better service at Denny's then I got at Narcoossee's.

So in my opinion I would spend 3 credits at Jiko over 1 at Narcoossee's if I was given a choice.

Sorry you had a bad experience, but that has not been typical for DISSERS and was completely opposite of our experience last summer. I think there are bad nights for any server/restaurant and sorry you got caught up in one. Honestly, sounds like someone didn't show up or left early and just left a mess for the servers. As for worth, I think the cost of the food it the primary question and I'm glad you had a good meal there. By the way, I'm sure the Jiko server would be happy to take the value of the 3rd TS credits as a gratuity, so no worries. ;)

OP, I have only been to Narcoossee's as a signature and we thought it was worth 2TS. However, we paid OOP for our child meal as that wasn't worth 2TS, we'd booked an extra TS meal AND he only wanted pasta, a $6 entree. If you are overbooking TS meals I'd strongly suggest paying OOP for this. In my opinion you'd have to spend $25-30(the cost of 2 child buffets) to make it worth 2 child TS credits. We used 2TS for the adults at Narcoossee's paid OOP for the adults at Chef Mickey's breakfast and used one of the child TS credits at Chef Mickey's ($12 vs $6 spent at Narcoossee's).
