Signature Plate and/or Signature Mat w/frame

Wow, thats a hard one. They are both great. I did a search of all the different plates and they have one with palm trees. We are hoping to do our Rehersal/Welcome dinner at 'Ohana so this might be a great idea for that and then the mat for the wedding. Check out the other patterns for their plates and maybe you could incorporate it into another part of your wedding.

I did a plate at my "big" shower and it was a hit! Everyone liked the idea of signing something different that the usual guest book. I have it on my bookcase with other wedding items.

I did the mat at my intimate wedding. It was a great keepsake to have from our 'special' traveling guests.

Everyone signed it and when I got my wedding pics, I enlarged one to put in the center. I then took the picture, folded some tape and stuck it on top of some beautiful glossy red cardstock. I did this so that the picture would have a 3-D effect and so that it would also be trimmed in my home colors.

I used a beautiful frame and hung it in our entryway. I see it everyday and guests always stop at it to read the wishes too!

I purchased my mat from Michaels for $5.99.

im using a signature mat at the wedding reception & a guest book at the welcome dinner.

at our engagement party my aunt made us a signature quilt which was really nice & at my shower i had an apron that our guest signed with their advise for a happy marriage.

26 days until were married at wdw! :bride: :groom:

I think doing both at the wedding might be a little too much. If I had to pick one for the wedding I would go with the photo mat.

To me, the plate seems less formal, and more ideal for a bridal shower or the like. Or perhaps you could have your bridal party sign the plate at your rehearsal?

I love the photo mats, FDH and I always buy one at Michael's (with the 40% off coupon :cool1: ) and bring it on our vacations together. We'll just jot down little notes about highlights of our trip, etc. We're bringing one to Disney this summer to have the characters sign. It's kind of our version of a travel journal I suppose.

So if you decide on a photo mat, and Mickey is at your reception make sure he signs it along with your guests! :teeth:

Wow, I just LOVE that idea. We were down in WDW for my birthday last May. I wish I has thought of it then. I would definately use the mat idea for my wedding picture. Although I do love the plate - it is really pretty. This would be great for a Shower or we might do the plate for the welcoming dinner.

I LOVE that idea, that's brilliant! O.K. I am so stealing your idea :rotfl2: I have a girl's weekend coming up and last time I made the other 3 girls small scrapbooks of the weekend but that's not in my budget or time anymore, but if I got 4 of those mats we could all write something about each other and the weekend on each one and then I could get a group picture to put in them. Thank you for sharing!!
