Signature idea

Moderators if the signature is to big can you not just get rid of it because some people can't get their signature stuff back

I think you should PM people first so they can change it themselves

and you guys shoul change it if they don't fix it withen a week of that time.

But just deleting it makes it hard for some people to get it back how they liked it.
Some people might even forget what was in it.

We already do that for the most part. After we have reminded a member the webmasters take over.

The moderators do not change or remove signatures, only a webmaster has access to your signature.

We have a lot of new DIS members posting on this forum, and a lot who have not read the DIS Signature Guidelines.

If your signature is too large to fit the guidelines, it may be deleted at any time.

Read the link for details, but the highlights of the guidelines are:

* You may have up to 12 lines of text in your signature. This includes blank lines and lines with smilies.

* You may have up to 3 graphic images, including sparkly signatures and countdowns. Each image can be no more than 200 pixels tall and 550 pixels wide.

* The file size of all of your graphics added together must be not more than 50K.

If you have questions about any of the guidelines or need help, just hop over to the Technical Support forum.

Just a reminder that it really is up to each individual to make sure their signature is within the guidelines.

Well if you did slip through the cracks and not get a personal warning....we (the moderators and the webmasters)have repeatly posted reminders over and over again.

It is not our responsiblity to make sure your sig is within guidelines nor should we have to warn anyone.

I am sorry you lost you sig but rules are rules.

I got no warning too, but I thought mine was over the limit. I never knew the little text only tickers would count, because once I clicked properties most of the spaces said none available.

Alphawazup- your sig is still too big. When you add the file sizes of your two sig images together you'll see that you've got about 90K there. All images combined need to be no more than 50K.

You need to reduce them to meet the filesize rules, or they'll probably be deleted again. Follow the link to the sig guidelines above if you need more information or don't know how to check.

Sorry but your filesize is still over the limit of 50K.

Your glitter name is 19,203 bytes, your image is 43,980 bytes, for a total of 63,183 bytes.

Right click on any image in your signature, then at the bottom of that list you will see "properties" - click on that.

A window will come up that shows you all the information of that image.
