So, I am planning a little "drink around the resorts" evening and was wondering what signature drinks are available at the various resorts. A lapu lapu is already in the works for the Poly stop :thumbsup2

Bump... I haven't been when I was old enough to drink yet, but it's happening in 10 days (the visit, not the old enough to drink... that has long since past!) and I would like to do drinks at the resorts as well. Hope people post some ideas! :)

Well, if you are going to do the Monorail resorts...

Contemporary: At the Outer Rim they make a drink called (I believe) the Monorail Yellow, which was very good. Can't remember what was in it.....

Polynesian: Lapu Lapu or a Backscratcher from the Tambu Lounge

Grand Floridian: (you've dressed well, right??): Head into the bar at Citrico's for one of their Citrus infused martinis or Cosmos. They have great martinis.

Wilderness Lodge: Territory Lounge as some pretty good microbrews to choose from.

Now, if you're really ambitious...

Yacht Club: One of my favorite lounges in all of WDW! Try their Catcus Pear Cosmo

Beach Club: Martha's Vinyard-- good wine selection, but try their Oreo-Mintini or Hot Apple Morgan. Also, the pool bar at Stormalong bay has great drinks.... esp the Stormalong. A PIna Colada with Bailey's and Amaretto.

Boardwalk: TONS of choices, but head to the Bellvue Room. they specialize in single-malt scotch. Great Selection.

Swan/Dolphin: Feeling Exotic?? Kimono's in the Swan has awesome sushi and warm sake.

Still Standing??

Animal Kingdom Lodge: Victoria Falls Lounge has a good wine selection. Try a glass of South African Chardonnay.

Port Orleans: Toast the sunrise with the (incredible) Bloody Mary at the River Roost lounge at Riverside.

How did I do? :teeth:

Great Solo! Now, bars at the GF...is it either Citricos or Narcoosees? Is there another bar there? Great suggestions. The oreo mintini sounds delish and we'll be staying at BW so that is an easy walk:thumbsup2

Yes there is another bar at GF..opens later in the day around 4pm.. 2nd floor, sorry can't remember the name. We usually have a drink at pool bar when we are doing the monorail drink around..since it is early in the day..lol.

At AKL...the honey liquor in bar at Jiko.
Poly...Lapu Lapu
Contemporary...Some crazy drink with pepperment schnappes and tequila..
not bad at all
WL....Red Hook ESB beer.
AS Sports pool bar..Kit makes a mean margarita
Flying Fish...pineapple upsidedown cake martini
Raglan Road...great raspberry martini

Lots of great drinks out there. There is a standard drink menu at the disney resorts now..so you can get some of the resort signature drinks at many of the resorts now.

Walk... Stumble... same thing. ;)

As for the GF, the bar I was suggesting is actually in Citricos... I just love their martinis there. Mizner's Lounge is the "hotel bar" at the GF and, while a bit small (as are most WDW hotel lounges), it's pretty nice. Nothing really stands out in my mind for a "signature drink" there, but they're full stocked.

You've made me want to drink my way around WDW! Now I just need a place to store the kids so I know where to find them when I sober up. :rotfl: I may just have to try that Oreo Mint-ini next time we go. And a Stormalong. I was also glad to see someone else posted my new favorite, the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini. Is it too early to start trying to make these things myself?

It's 5:00 somewhere. :teeth:

I forgot all about the Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini. That's really good as well. I made them using the FF recipe for a party not too long ago and they were a huge hit.

Unfortunately, many of the signature drinks are no longer on the menus as most of the lounges have the same standardized menus. The Poly does have an extra page than what the others have and the Lapu Lapu is included on that.

With that said, last week I was able to get drinks that werent on the menu at Mizners Lounge (Mizners Sidecar), Outer Rim (Space Monkey), and Poly (Tradewinds). At Mizners the bartender thought she remembered how to make it but the woman, who I assume was the manager, went "out back" and looked it up.
However when we tried to get a Mintini at Marthas Vineyard Lounge the bartender looked at us like we had 3 heads. We had been able to get Lynn, a bartender there to make it for us (just with no oreo) twice since its been off the menu, but this bartender, I believe his name was Jared, had no clue what we were talking about. :(

And I can chime in sadly that when we were at Hurricane Hannah's last fall they no longer offered the Stormalong. We asked for it anyway but the bartender didn't know what we were talking about.

At the pool bars we've noticed a predominantly standardized drink menu - very disappointing.

But...there are still good drinks to be had!! :thumbsup2

Have a great time and be sure to try an alcoholic squishee if you make it to France / Epcot.

I loved the peach bellini at Citrico's and the frozen colada at the Poly, I also used to love the space monkey at the Contemporary's Outer Rim, but I heard they stopped serving it.
