Signature Dinning Help

Going to try and do 2 signature dinning restaurants on our next trip. I need some help picking. Please give me your experiences. Thanks in advance

Best idea is to look at the menus for all the Signature restaurants and see which appeal to you. That being said, some of the more popular ones:
Jiko
California Grill
Il Mulino
Morimoto Asia
Most especially Victoria and Albert's if money is no issue
Go offsite to BiCE at Portofino Hotel

Are you on the regular dining plan or the deluxe dining plan? We have the deluxe dining plan for our upcoming reservation and are going to try a new signature restaurant each day. In the past, we have really enjoyed California Grill, Hollywood Brown Derby, and Tiffins. This time we will be trying Yachtsman Steakhouse, Flying Fish, and Narcoosee's. Look at the menus and see which ones look best to you. I think all of the signature restaurants are generally well reviewed.

Location & Convenience.

Disney has made going resort-to-resort difficult - unless driving yourself or taking a taxi.

So as much as I might enjoy (and potentially recommend) a particular restaurant - I would not recommend any place that is out-of-your-way. Said a bit differently, few (if any) places at Disney are worth going out-of-your-way.

My family also enjoys some places not on the DxDP, so I won't include those.....

In the Parks - only Monsieur Paul (France, Epcot) is my recommendation for a Signature....unless you want a dining package at Brown Derby for Fantasmic! tickets.

CA Grill - priceless view, hit-or-miss on the food. But worth 2-credits.

On Boardwalk - Yachtsman & Flying Fish are both very good.

Narcoossee's is a family favorite, but the value on DxDP only makes sense of you want lobster (not pasta, etc.).

in fairness, this is not any kind of change or reduction in service. Disney has almost never offered resort-to-resort transportation. Exception to a degree, the monorail and launches. After Coronado Springs opened, there were buses at night between it and the Boardwalk. Ended a number of years ago.

Did our first Signatures this past Sept. Had to try LeCellier....just to say we did it. Food and service were AWESOME...but I can see where people say it's overpriced....used 2 TS credits. And we also did Yachtsman.....and that was hands down the best meal I've ever had on property...as well as the best dessert in MY LIFE!!! It was The Lexington Sundae....salted caramel and buttered popcorn gelatos with crumbly cookies and caramel and a huge torched marshmallow on top....I'd go there JUST FOR THAT!!!!!

I highly recommend CRT or BOG in MK for the experience. Food isn’t the best but if you’ve never eaten in either castle you need to check it off your Disney bucket list, especially if traveling with kids.

I would also recommend something with a fireworks view. CG or Narcossees come to mind if you want to see the fireworks at MK. Monsieur Paul at Epcot if you want a chance at seeing Illuminations.

Otherwise, there’s too many options and I would heavily advise looking at menus and going by what looks good to you.

Ive had great meals at all of these in the last year.

Il Mulino at The Swan (Best meal ive had on property in the last 4 years. Blew me away. Get the Grouper, change your life.)

Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge(really great resort for arriving early for animal viewing)

Flying Fish at The Boardwalk(awesome night atmosphere as well, easy walk from Epcot if you exit from International gateway)

Monsieur Paul at Epcot(upstairs France restaurant, not the first floor Chefs de France)

Narcoosees at Grand Floridian (If you like feeling ritzy, i recommend Grand Floridian. It can be stuffy feeling, but I find the atmosphere perfect for signature dining)

Citricos at Grand Floridian as well.

You can do well at all of these. Just comes down to checking the menu.

One thing I have found is that you really need to be willing to resort hop if you want to get the best of Signature dining. Outside of Monsieur Paul, I believe the resorts far outclass the parks in signature dining quality.

I left off California Grill cause my meal in November was a solid, "that was fine." I can't in good faith recommend it at this time compared to the above list.

Flying Fish on the Boardwalk
Narcoossees at the Grand Floridian
California Grill in the Contemporary
I had avoided Le Cellier for years, however on our last trip I have to admit we had a delicious meal with excellent service. I would book this one again as well

My apologies, I didn't think I was being 'unfair' to Disney.

Rather, I was pointing out to OP that logistics (i.e., the inability to easily go from resort-to-resort) might be a consideration in the calculus of determining a place to dine.

Frankly, the new Minnie Vans make that decision somewhat easier.

Also, the expansion of Disney Springs and quality food offerings there makes wanting to go resort-to-resort less of a factor for many families.

We used to eat at a signature every night during our first few trips to Disney, and then we stopped finding the value with shrinking portions. We have tried them all, most more than once. But I just wanted to point out that the signature menus change frequently, and most of the time the menus online wouldn't match the menus at the restaurant.

Our favorite was Citricos consistently, we ate their 4 times and the only restaurant we would consider returning to since we swore off signatures. But we also generally liked Cali Grill and Flying Fish.

We were never impressed with Jiko, not once. even though it consistently gets great reviews. We had tough steaks, watery mac and cheese, and the last time my $55 fish dish wasn't even 5 bites. But I would suggest trying whichever one appeals to your tastes.

Well I truly think that Jiko is the best restaurant at WDW and since I love steaks my 2nd vote would be for Yachtsman.

The elk tenderloin was a hit with my daughter, who only wanted a side of mac and cheese for dinner because “everything sounds gross, mom”. She tasted my entree and then proceeded to eat half of it because it was so good. I told my daughters that they could each pick a “must-do” restaurant for our next trip and, to my surprise, they both said Jiko!
